Hallo New to this forum. I want your advice for a turny I´m goin to play this fall. The rules are Resurrection, buy a team for 1100000 - then choice one skillpack: * Skill Pack 1: 6 normal skills - You must give six different players normal skill (not double skills) * Skill Pack 2: 4 normal skills + 1 MV / AV - You may select a player who if he has rolled 10 on a skill role and also provide four other players with normal skills * Skill Pack 3: 4 normal skills + a double skill - You can give a player a double skill and also provide four other players with normal skill * Skill Pack 4: 2 normal + 2 double Skills - You must give two players a double skill and also provide two other players with a normal skill * Skill Pack 5: 2 ordinary skill + 1 set of normal / double Skills - You must give a player two skills, one of them can be a double and also provide two other players with normal skill * Skill Pack 6: 2 sets of normal / double Skills - You can provide two skills to two players, one of them may be a dual skill. NOTE: Regardless of the skill pack you choose, you may not have the same skill for more than two players of the same position (eg you may have two Long Beards with guard and two blitzers with a guard, but not three Long Beards with guard.) I´m going to bring out the vampires in this turney and have problems in the skill department becouse my limited experience playing vamps. Some ideas I have: skillpack 3 3 vamp (block, dodge*2) 9 thralls (wrestle, guard) 1 apoc 5 rerolls skillpack 6 3 vamp (blodge*2) 9 thralls 1 apoc 5 rerolls skillpack 1 4 vamp (block *2, dodge*2) 9 thralls (wrestle, kick )4 rerolls Does any one have some experiance of playing vamps in a Resurrection turney or just a opinion for the teambuilding?

Opinions.. Skillpack 1, but with wrestle instead of dodge on the two dodging vampires would probably be favored by me. For the thralls kick might instead be a second wrestling thrall, or a possibly a dirty player. That is a thougher question, though. - Otherwise your skillpack 6 solution is also very good. A bit low on the vampires in my opinion, but it has everything else in spades. Thralls, apotechary, plenty of rerolls and two starplayers.

Get a frenzy player, that is golden just as a threat and will narrow the pitch, then gaze and blitz with a wrestle thrall

hi Lard, as great as multiskilled vampires are, the team lacks any of the common skills to start with, so I would find it hard to look past taking 6 normal skills Vamps with block, dodge and dodge (the reroll skills are very handy and needed to help cope with bloodlust and your overall lack of skills) that leaves you three more assuming you just have 3 vamps so wrestle would be handy, possibly strip ball, or another wrestle / tackle to help deal with opposing blodgers you might also consider dropping a reroll to get a 4th vampire in, its not a league team so you don't have the double cost of rerolls to worry about, again I'd take dodge while frenzy is nice, it will have to go on someone without block, on a team that already eats through rerolls

Thanx for your advice. I will try out some diffrent set ups in some practice games during the summar. One thing I would like your opinions on is Guard on one vampire. The ability to support the blitzing thrall and the overall usefullness of guard would be nice to have both defending and attackning, but maybe dodge/block is better? The diffrent set ups that is going to be tested, all with skillpack 1: 1 3 vamp (block, dodge*2) 9 thralls (wrestle, wrestle, tackle) 1 apoc 5 rerolls 2 4 vamp (block *2, dodge*2) 9 thralls (wrestle, wrestle) 4 rerolls 3 4 vamp (block, dodge*2, frenzy) 9 thralls (wrestle, wrestle) 4 rerolls 4 4 vamp (block, dodge*2, guard) 9 thralls (wrestle, wrestle) 4 rerolls

guard is always useful, the question is if it is more useful than something else personally I'd take dodge again as the protection is more useful as is the reroll for dodging which increases your ability to move around more freely you already have 4 ST4 players and hypnotic gaze at your disposal, both of which can go some way to making up the lack of guard

Guard is mostly useful if the Gaze fails - which is 2/3. Still, giving them Block/Wrestle/Dodge is more generally useful. (And one with Frenzy is also useful)

Yes, it is for NärkeBowl The first testplay is on wednesday sinces I painted the team this weekend and Im goning test 4 vamp (block, dodge*2, frenzy) 9 thralls (wrestle, wrestle) 4 rerolls with is the most promising at this moment. Nikolei II: Are u goning to play humans at NärkeBowl?

No, not humans. I did think about applying with Wood or Dark elves, but it turns out that after Stockbowl moved its playoff day the new date clashes with Närkebowl, so sadly enough I will not be coming. With any luck I might try to show up next year.
