Default Add attaching replays to the Site Instructions thread?
Hi Coach,

Every now and then somebody will ask how to share a replay on a thread so I thought it might be useful to add it to the "Site Instructions - How do I..." announcement. I wrote this ages ago in a PM if you want to use/adapt it:

Quote:
First step is to find where the replays are stored on your hard drive. For me they're in My Documents -> BloodBowlLegendary -> Saves -> Replays so it should be something very similar for you. The folder should be full of .db files.

Next, work out which one you want to upload. They're only listed by date and time unfortunately, so you may need to go in-game to locate the right file by viewing the replays there if you can't remember exactly when you played which game.

Then you need to put the .db file into a .zip file. Now depending on which version of Windows you're using, this might be different each time, but if you right-click on the file in the Replays folder, then go down to Send To, hopefully there should be an option called Compressed (zipped) folder or something similar. Click on it, and it should create another file with the same name as the replay but with .zip after it instead of .db.

To share the replay on the thread, when you're on the Reply screen, under Additional Options you can click on Manage Attachments. Use the window that pops up to select the .zip file you've just made from the Replays folder, click Upload and once it's done you can close the window and reply.

Is it not possible to take it from BB-manager?

It is, but not everyone will want to use it. If someone just wants to share a replay, it's much quicker and easier to attach it than to use BBM, especially for people who wouldn't otherwise use it. It's also quicker to get a replay from a thread than to load BBM up and find the replay on there. Don't get me wrong, BBM has its uses, but if a match isn't otherwise uploaded to BBM already (if it's in one of the public leagues for example) then I think it's better to use an attachment.
