Are you fed up of having to arrange online matches at stupid o'clock just to cater for those who live in silly timezones? Ever wanted a competition that takes place at a sensible hour? Well look no further, for here is the Down Under Blood Bowl League!

Well, that's probably too grand an opening statement to be honest. Point is, I'd like to play in another competition but I don't want to commit to two early mornings virtually every week, and maybe other people over here feel the same way. So I reckon those of us living in GMT+8 to GMT+12 or thereabouts should make a competition of our own so that hopefully we can have afternoon/evening matches a bit more often, and with a bit more ease and flexibility.

What kind of competition it would be is open to debate, and probably depends on how much interest there is. So post here if you're up for it and let's see what happens. Oh and the name is optional too, I just liked DUBBL.

SEASON ONE INFORMATION

I've gone with a single 8-team league followed by a playoff in which all 8 teams will qualify, 1st vs 8th and so on (8-10 games).

Arrange matches on this thread or by PM; please don't use the in-game mail because it's absolutely terrible.

There is a league on BBM (name: DUBBL Season 1; password: hiccup) to upload matches but this isn't compulsory for such a small league; however, the only alternative is for both coaches to tell me they're happy for me to validate the match.

I'll roll over every Wednesday evening at around 22:30 GMT+11. If we get all matches played before then I'll roll over earlier and we can have longer to play next week.

Next season's format may change based on the number of teams we get then.

If you've missed out on the deadline this season, you can let me know if you want me to send you a message in case a spot opens up to anyone dropping out. This will be first come, first served. I can also remind you when the next season is starting if you request it.

Is this going to be a new league, or are we going to jump onto PTBBL or some other such group which caters to the pacific (DUBBL sounds pretty cool as well)

I can't actually see anything on the PTBBL forum that says it's for any specific user base, so I imagine we'd have the same issues as any other league there. Also, a new season has just started and it looks like they have a long format. So I'd suggest we start our own competition, even if we only start out with a single league of 6 or 8, and if any other Asia/Pacific league pops up in the meantime, or if I'm totally wrong about PTBBL, we can jump on there when the time is right. Or just screw them all and keep going, of course...

I didn't find any mention when I was about to apply either, but got told

"Our Coaches are primarily based in the New World though. So we're on a GMT-5 to GMT-8 schedule.

Most of our Coaches are looking for Matches starting from 00:00 GMT until 05:00 GMT "

So I misremembered / translated this in my head to be the Pacific rim. Sorry about my mistake.
