The only thing with me that might prove a hindrance is that im GMT+9, which means im 2 hours behind AEST. I've got young kids that generally go to bed around 9:30pm = 11:30pm AEST. So its going to mean my opponents would have to be willing to start around that time, which is a big ask.

Maybe its better for me to sit out of the league until Australian daylight savings finishes, as it will only be 1 hour difference then.

That wouldn't be a problem for me. Also you'd still have the weekends. I'd say join in!

Yeah, I think if only one or two people are in different time zones, and even then not by much, then that's okay and we can work around it. Same for Pottsy and his late shifts imo.

I'm pretty busy for the rest of this week but hopefully I'll set up a Cyanide league at the weekend, see how we go.

Ok. In that case i will join in. If i can't play a match or schedule it i am happy to just have an admin'd loss.

Regarding type of competition, have you given any thought to it? For example, will it be all rookie teams, will we have a playoff, etc?

If we have small numbers my suggestion is to go for the same format we had for CC1.

What was CC1? If we only have 5 or 6 I would have thought maybe a double sided round robin with no finals (around 8-10 matches each) might work? In my other leagues I've found that 7-10 matches is a pretty good sweet spot for the total length of the league.

I would probably be down with rookie teams too.

If you need help setting the league up and the like I am happy to do so. I have a bit of time and I'm pretty flexible. Though I understand if you want to keep tabs on everything yourself at this point Rusty.

I was thinking rookie teams only to join, but you can keep a team from one season to the next. Or reroll if you prefer. I was also thinking that we'd do a double round robin with no playoff if we have up to 6 teams, or if we have 8 (or more) then either two groups of 4 (or whatever) with some kind of playoff or just a single round robin with no playoff. Didn't really expect 8 for the first season though.

CCI was a double round robin with no playoffs and rookie teams. So exactly what you are both proposing. For CCI we just had 4 coaches, so 6 matches altogether. It was quite enjoyable.

looking forward to this
i am thinking of playing nurgle or woodelf, with undead or necro an outside chance too.
liking the ideas being thrown about. another 1, should teams be allowed to come and go from the league like how it is handled in Crunch cup (not too sure how that is!)

I'll sign up when you start the league. You need an even number of players. So if an odd number sign up, I'm happy to sit it out.

Assuming most of you are on EDT (which is GMT+11 if I'm not mistaken) the earliest I can manage kickoff is 10pm EDT and the latest is 1pm. I'm comfortable with forfeiting if I can't manage to organise a match.

i think I'll give a Chaos team a try.

I'm not sure what the crunch cup rules are (I deleted my Khemri after all the rain ruined me) but I would think a general rule of:

Teams can come and go, as long as they never play any games outside the league.

Would be a good one.

Dunno what race I'll play. Maybe Norse. I wish Underworld was in the cyanide game .
