@ Web Cole: Looks like the cyanide port forwarding issues are rearing their head. The messages I've had (plus the fact that I had my mate, a software engineer fix mine) implies it's likely at your end. I also turned my firewall off before the game. We can reschedule, but I probably can't do Saturday or Sunday, but will be fine friday, or next week, if you can get them sorted?

If it does turn out that we STILL can't play, C'est la vie.

I'll check for posts on this thread/pms later. Can play late if necessary.

Hmm, thats annoying, I actually just did the whole port forwarding thing earlier today, and it seemed to be working fine... as far as I could tell. But I shall have another look at it.

Anyone have any experience of how to get this sort of thing working? I used the Simple Port Forwarding programme (here) though I had to use an older version, as the current 3.0.6 one made me BSOD every time I tried to run it.

Well, I got my mate to do it for me, as he works as a software programmer. We might just have run across a matchup that STILL doesn't work. Since I turn off my firewall when playing BB, due to these exact issues. It REALLY annoys me though that they can't fix these sorts of things.

From what research I've been able to do, it seems to be a problem with the game rather then the players as it's an issue that sometimes crops up and then other times does not. At least that's what I hear. All I've seen regarding fixing it is to close the game out and reopen it. *Shrug* I honestly don't know why it's a problem, I've never had a problem playing games on Cyanide before this.

Anyway, sorry we couldn't get the game to go Woodygood. If you want to try again some time just let me know.

So apparently the ports weren't actually open for some reason, tested it and it said they were still closed. So I tried to do it manually, spent a good hour or two dicking around with my router settings and what not, but it still doesn't seem to be working. Sigh.

If your up for it Panda, we could have another go at it on Monday, same time. No guarantee's, but I'll spend some more time in the next few days trying to get it working.
