Default Becoming good at Blood Bowl
I play lizardmen, High Elves and Norse regularly and currently enjoy a win percentage of 34%

55/49/129

Is there any tips, playstyles or races i could try to become a better blood bowl player win rate wise?

Well, it depends on your playstyle. Try a a lot of teams, but there'll one or two that'll just be meant for you. If you enjoy the team, your win percentage will probably increase, but it's your enjoyment of the game that matters most.

There's two main rules to remember:

1) As long as you're having fun, it's all that matters. Mainly because...
2) Nuffle hates you.

Those are the two rules pretty much many coaches live by. Just have fun with it.

I've tried pretty much all the teams, those three teams are the teams that i like

I don't really know how to explain how I play but you can see my games here: FUMBBL :: Online Blood Bowl League

I do have fun (mostly) but I really want to get back at the guys at my local TT league by winning, a lot.

They make fun of me because I play too bashy with my elves in their opinions, eg. I would rather make a 2 dice for block then dodge away from an orc.

Pretty much I want to learn how to learn to play well.

I took a look at your teams and considering how many games you played and your team makeups, I can't really say anything since you probably play just like I do. I found the high elves don't really fit into my style at all, Dark Elves on the other hand...

As a personal preference with the norse, I take both the beserkers off the bat and add a thrower and a yhetee, keeping the werewolves out until I can afford to protect them. I go for even more frenzy, tackle, and anything offensive. It's like a Khorne Army or my Savage Orcs in Warhammer Fantasy. A couple things with frenzy can be easily led astray, but when the entire army's got it, things get tricky. Another great thing about frenzy is with block you can put on the brakes if you don't want your blocking player heading off into a trap. I tend to ignore defence with this team, as far as skills go.

You play two hard teams: Norse & Lizardmen. Norse arenīt agile to dodge out nor do they have armor to take the beating back from a block heavy game. Lizzard too have the weak skinks that require protection.

I would suggest you get BB Manager and see several replays of good players. Check Bintzīs DElfs in CC games (not his last game though... ) Its a good mix of hitting and moving.

From what iīve seen the biggest problem is getting away from the hitting is good mentality that we get from our first bash teams. The game is won by scoring TDs not casualties. Also hitting foes isnīt only about getting cas... but controlling the field. A player down has -3 moves and can block only on blitz or jump up.

I will suppose youīve already read Coaches articles in this site... they are very good.

1) My first suggestion is playing different teams in Cyanide. If your only TT ask to use other teams. I really only understood Lizzardsīs weakness when I played them. Now that Iīm playing elves I play better against them too. The more teams you understand... the better against them too.

2) Moves players first... 2 die blocks then... 1 die only if necessary

3) Read all skills. Learn how they work... know what the other team has. If u donīt know a Mummy has break tackle... you will see him hitting your key player.

4) Blood Bowl is a lot about controlling the field. You cant build cages always... but you should know where the oppo can get or hit. Learn to use speed. Learn to screen.

5) Learn how to use Re-rolls better. If you never have a RR left for the last 2 turns... you are overdoing their use... taking unecessary risks ? Less dice rolling is good many times. If your positioning is good your oppo will have to do more GFI and dodges... and nuffle will have a chance of screwing his plans. If your positioning is bad... then you are the one reacting and getting nuffled.

6) Read the kick or receive article... its incredible how much control of the rythm of the game you gain by receiving in the 2nd half. Have reserves to place in LOS in 1st half.

At those rates he should be winning more than Charlie Sheen when you're done, unless you're talking Zimbabwean dollars...

I use the starting team Coach gives first in the strategy section Captain and only get the thrower in FUMBBL's BB7's for norse

@Lebe666 I find lizardmen quite easy to play and don't have many problems with fragile skinks.

1)I'm a FUMBBL player and have played nearly every race at least a bit.

2)I mostly do that, the times I don't are usually when i have to make a block to open a gap to move etc.

3)I know all the skills, not off by heart and not usually word for word but I know them well enough to know what they do if i see them on someone

4)Cages? My Lizardmen don't cage for me, skinks hide between a line of sauri, my High Elves don't cage with an AG 5 thrower on both my regular teams down field to pass to anyone in a scoring postion and my norse will only cage when driven to an extreme, because apart from the fact I find them better screening I have an average of 2 AG increases on my 2 regular teams.

5) I have 1-2 re rolls left over at the end of a half barring me making desperate moves or getting double skulls a lot.

6)I've read the article and I try to have LOS fodder, but my teams always seem to get too many players I don't count as expendable without getting enough linemen (because they die)

In theory I know the basics and more but I was wondering if there was a way to learn how to win consistently in practice eg. To learn how to use re rolls effectively I played a norse team with 0 rr's

Find better players and play against them and after the match ask them to point out anything they think you did wrong.
