| Let me tell you about Gork. He plays on my orc team, The Green Wall. His role is best described as: the 11th guy on the pitch. The other 10 are (barring injuries): 4 blitzers, 4 black orcs, 1 troll and 1 thrower. It is frequently his job to stay back and play a safety role. A role he has become quite good at with Block, Tackle and Strip Ball. The best play he ever made was this: It was my turn 8 (I recieved to start the game) in the first half against a chaos team, I was up 1-0. They had a beastman in scoring position with the ball. Gork was in the dirt next to a chaos warrior 3 squares away, and the next closest player was my thrower who would have to GFI twice just to mark him. So, with no rerolls left, this is what I did. I moved my thrower in to assist (whew). Blitzing with Gork, I dodged away from the warrior, then GFI to move the third square, and GFI again for the blitz. The result was not only a knockdown, but a casualty! With the beastman carted off the field, there was no one left close enough to score. It would turn out to be the closest they would get to my endzone all game long. |

| I have an absolute beast of a lineman, Beth, on my Intervention Dark elf team. His first skill was +1 agility, this lead to him to spending his early career as a makeshift thrower at the back of the field. His next skill was leap which shifted his focus to a reciever where he hogged more than his fair share of ssp. Next he got wrestle leaving no ball carrier safe. He just picked up dodge making him the highest level elf on my team and there is no stopping him on offence or defence, he is a real threat and my favourite player on the team. I feel his slightly effeminate name gives him an added air of menace. |
