Default the big difference between fumbbl and cyanide (rule implementation)
so played a couple of games on fumbbl, and got caught out a couple of times on this.
as per the rules, u have to declare a hand off and pass action before moving, and u have to go through with it! in cyanide this is not the case, and if there is a loose ball i will normally decide to pass/handoff or not depending if i have used a reroll to pick the ball up/on a dodge.
on fumbbl u have to make ur mind up straight away. i see marginal skills like catch/pass being more popular outside of cyanide due to this.

thoughts?

Actually declaring actions before doing them is the rule. But remember that declaring the action does not mean you actually have to do it (i.e. if you used a RR in the way etc). Cyanide has not implemented that properly yet, among many other things.

Fumbbl is much more true to CRP in all respects including rules and bugs (all skills that ought to be optional are optional etc).

Although it is not without its limitations... i.e. afaik gobbos are still not properly implemented in fumbbl.

I have also recently joined fumbbl myself and have played around 10 or so games. Now that I am away from home on holidays and cant use my PC it is a great way to have a couple of games here and there. Being java based you can play virtually anywhere where there is a PC.

Also somehting I like a lot from Fumbbl is the ability to Spectate games!! It is great. I may not have the time for a full game but fancy some BB related action? I just hop and watch a game. Cool.

I have also tried the replay function (to watch a few games from RandomOracle) but I did not like it, the tool is not like the java game itself but a different screen with a much less userfriendly interface. Cyanide replays and BBMAnager are much better for this. Fumbbl's advantage is that you can fastforward AND Rewind, plus you have ALL games there to watch, unlike Cyanide's where you can only watch what s available in BBManager.

Having said all that I am a graphics whore and think that I will probabably be playing Cyanide's much more often than Fumbbl.

Aside from the fact there's no bombardier implemented yet, FUMBBL all the way!

and you can take an action back, as long as you haven't moved that player or blocked yet, just click on them again.

Edit:I think I misunderstood the problem at first, although you must choose whether to pass, hand off or move first you do not have to actually pass or hand off the ball afterwards.

@Viajero were you looking at a recent game or an old one?

Old games were on a different java program and they are like this: JavaBBowl Replayer

where as the new games replays are like this: FantasyFootballClient

God kills a kitten. Supposedly it also crashes your game.
