Default Cyanide MM Goblin Question
Goblin Team 2 draws 0 wins/defeats

2xTroll, Fanatic, Pogoer, Bombardier, 6xGoblin, 2FF, 4RR, Apothecary, and 40K gold in treasury.

This team is playing in a MM environment so now way to really know who or what I'll be facing next in terms of Race or TV.

My Question to coach here or any one else with gobbo wisdom is should I get a looney (to replace the one I can't use due to smashed hip -1 MA) or just get a simple goblin who isn't guaranteed to be sent off after one drive (no secret weapon)???

As you can see I'm kindof screwed either way (Smashed hip on my looney and 2 goblin deaths last game) and will have to play SW's either way.

So better to have a 12 man gobbo team with 2 or 3 of the secret weapons???

Not the best place to play a Goblin team as they match you based on team value (which is also why fumbbl sucks still). I'd get a Looney though purely cause they are good fun and hard to deal with. I've no idea if thats the best choice to get in the Cyanide MM environment though as I've not used it, but in table top leagues I'd get one and most matches are usually around the same sorts of team value.

Playing Goblins in a MM Cyanide open league is difficult, as it will always try and match you up with a team with a similar TV first up, so that takes away the goblins tactic to get a lot of inducement money for bribes / Secret Weapons based on a lower TV.

Also, teams in the open MM Cyanide with low TV values tend to have better pound for pound players in comparison to a private league. This is because coaches will try and cut the fat and keep their player numbers and TV down, but these players will have a good core of skills. So you could end up playing against 11 really good players at quite low TV values.

As Goblins are a good fun team to play, I would buy the Looney and if you are short on player numbers you will be given normal Goblin journeymen in any event.

Well done on the two draws though ;-).

Buy the looney, he is your best weapon by far! Keep the fanatic, I like him on offense. Dump the bombadier he's rubbish. I like the bomber, he's a lot of fun, but quite frankly he's s*!%e.

Buy bribes if you ever get the chance, and foul with the chainsaw. I get better reaults with the looney fouling than when he just attacks with his chainsaw. He doesn't get SPP anyway for chainsawing and if you have bribes you should be able to keep him on for a while. He doesn't stick around for long mind, he's like a rock and roll star. He either burns brightly or he burns out and then he dies by chocking on his own vomit, but either way he gives the oppo fits.

Same here. I only blitz with him if there's a high-profile, low-armor player in range (like a Wardancer or a Witch Elf). Other times, I make him run towards the nearest knocked down opponent and chainsaw his/her head off (with assists, if available).
