HMP is always inaccurate and away on 2+ (3+ if stunty), so there is no in built reroll you have to deside if you should use or not, so once you declaire the HMP thats it - BOMB away

Yes, HMP is more like Leap. First you declare it, then you roll it. With pass you can only target the entire pitch if you are on the LOS. With HMP you can always target the entire pitch.

So rolling a pass first and then changing to HMP would be like rolling for a difficult dodge, then deciding to have leaped that one square instead. Both could work as houserules, but are probably not RAW.

According to Competition Rules, Stunty does not affect HMP:

Quote:
Q: Can you use the Pass skill to re-roll a fumbled Hail Mary Pass? Do
Tackle Zones or Disturbing Presence affect a Hail Mary Pass roll?
A: Yes, you can use Pass to re-roll. No, nothing modifies a Hail Mary Pass roll... it is always a 2+ roll.
However, Complete Blood Bowl Rulebook says something a little different:

Quote:
Q: Can you use the Pass skill to re-roll a fumbled Hail Mary Pass? Do Tackle Zones or Disturbing Presence affect a Hail Mary Pass roll?
A: Yes, you can use Pass to re-roll. No, tackle zones and Disturbing Presence do not affect Hail Mary Pass rolls.
Stunty is not mentioned.

Cyanide game follows Competition Rules as far as I know.

Hmm I have always gone with racial ability as a global modifier. Would be fun with a clarification

Tom answers it here:

"HMP trumps all modifiers ... its a 2+ roll to throw the ball. So Very Sunny, Stunty, opposing TZs, and Distracting Presence are ALL ignored when using HMP."

It's 2+ if you're a Goblin. It's 2+ if you're a-hobblin'. It's 2+ on a plane. It's 2+ on a train. It's 2+ on a boat. It's 2+ if you're a goat. It's 2+ if you're a ram. It's 2+, Sam I Am.

Aside from the double posting by "two minds, one idea" above.. how much more obvious could it have been than Mico's quoted CRP FAQ of "Always 2+"?
