Depressing Nufflings

My SSC DElf team managed only 2 dodges in a whole match. The rest of the time they were eating astrogranite. Simple no TZ dodges mind you most of them...

The game started rather well too... a pitch invasion in Turn 1 left 4 of my guys standing. The only one in range of the Elf with a ball got KO'd. Soon after another got a Niggling Injury apochetary to a -1 Str (no thanks).

The Witch failed to pick up and pass... barely any SPP... only 1 sucessful pass and 1 MVP... disaster.

Worst one I got was using a previous pro elf team... I had both blitzers dead, and four other casualties by my turn three. That's NOT counting another player I had Apo'ed from death to the reserves box.

Wow I have been on the wrong end of some cas fests, but that is unreal. I have had 3 out by the start of my 2nd turn or something like that and that was not much fun. No idea what I would do in that situation. Well hope you did not have to play the team again next week. Losing one game to bad luck is one thing, losing the next one as you have a team of loner linos is something else.

Nope, I just disbanded the team. If I had some cash in the treasury, I would've toughed it out. That was a brand new team, so I didn't have the cash or SPP's to do anything with them. It was brutal to say the least.

Just had a shameful game with my SSC Dark Elves... against Goblins !

They Goblin coach said the right thing... "your elves can't dodge"! They kept rolling 1's for dodges, passes and GFI... didn't manage a single TD because of that. Luckily no dead or injured seriously... but I think this DElf team is cursed... never get things right.

Wow, that's brutal. Like you said though, at least none of your players were killed or seriously injured. Sometimes it does seem like the individual teams and players influence the dice rolls. There are some teams that can do no wrong, and others where you can't trust your AG 5 with Sure Hands to pick up the ball on his own.

Sure seems the case for this DElf team... I've had teams that should do better but just get mucked up no matter what I do. While others I do some silly hero stuff and get away with it way more often than not.

There is also (or used to be at least) that saying about "The curse of the dark elves" - that they'd frequently under-perform on the d6 side.

Don't worry about it, my last High Elf game against Khemri saw my Elves rolling ones and skulls at any number of essential moments. I'll put a write up on my thread about it (although the block dice stats are not showing up in BBM).
