| Doom Bowl+ is a resurrection tourney, but so far its not NAF, I try to get them to make it NAF. It will be held in November 5/6. So its a perfect test before the World Cup, and so I will take the undeads out for a spin. Its normal 1.1 mill team to start with and a maximum of 8 matches. Before match 2,4,5,6 & 8 the team is awarded a normal skill Before match 3 & 7 its a double. Awards: Stuff of Legends - the craziest move or heroball action will get an award. Painting: all teams must be painted - and of course best team win an award. Special rule: Only match 2 & 5 are played with the normal weather table. The rest are indoors, but with a Doom diver, so on a weather roll the kicking team choose a spot, then sqatter 3 times and if a player is hit, then roll like throw a rock. So as I see it, thats an advantage for teams with reserves, and I have 2 ![]() At match 4 you have to set up blind before the cointoss, not knowing how the other team sets up, you place 10 players. Then toss the coin reveal the setups and kicking team place their teamcaptain, and then the recieving team place their captain. I guess there is going to be alot of standard setups before match 4 ![]() Im still working on what order to take the skills in. Ideas are welcome. I will use my normal undead tourney setup: 2 x mummies 2 x wights 3 x ghouls 6 x zombies 3 x rerolls 1 Coach and 1 Cheerleader |

| I have just been told that skills will be picked just before the cointoss, so my first skill is either going to be a ghoul with block or surehands, depending on non wood elf or wood elf opponant. From then on a multitude of options arise, but I think its fair to say that guard will be in my repertoire. This also gives away how to set up for match 4, I will design two setups, one against fast teams and one against slow teams. And me playing undeads - I think they might just turn out to be the same |

| some unusual twists there a coach and a cheerleader aren't really that great when they are only going to be useful at most 2 of the matches though shame they don't let you spend that odd money on another skill instead... |

| Almost 28% of all kickoffs are 6 or 8 (27,78%). I have very good experience with having a guaranteed +1 to a D3 roll, but it would be nice to have an extra skill instead |

| Day one done and after 5 matches I have 4-1-0 record with my undead team and thus the first place. Our team of 4 coaches have won the team competion with 4 points to #2. Our team captain is currently #2 in the individual and the third member is in the top 8. Our fourth guy had to ru due to Real Life, so he lost the 2 last games. First match was against a human team. I won 3-1 and 4-0 in cas No dramaSecond was against a norse team. He made two unbelievable touch downs for a 2-2 draw, I won cas 4-0, both his TDīs required multiple rolls and he made both without any rerolls left. The last was wild. First a 2 dice block needing at least a , then a blitz with the frenzy ballcarrier also needing a and then the follow up block with one dice, still needing at least a . Then a 4+ & 3+ dodge and lastly 2 GFI. No rerolls available The first TD he made could only happen as a riot was rolled on kick off giving him an extra turn. Then a pass 3+ and catch 4+ and dodge 3+ to score to 1-1, damn riot Somewhere he also had to do a pick up!Third match: another norse team, This one got brutalised to a 2-1 grind and 3-0 in cas ![]() Fourth match: Chaos and man he was evil. I managed to stop his drive in the first half. Then recieved with a full team for second drive. Throw a rock and my block mummy is casīed - but regen works Bim Bam Bum after 5 turns I have 6 players against 11 and with 2 gfi he knocks my carrier out to the crowd. Ball lands in the middle and he gets a migthy blow warrior to pick it up. Hmm... I dodge a ghoul free and gets him close to the endzone. Then a hero wight does a dodge 3+ to blitz the warrior with 2 dice uphill = ![]() , ball is in one TZ. A downed ghoul, gets up and 1 GFI later 4+ pick up, GFI and dodge 3+ and long bomb pass. Inaccurate, no desire to reroll so the ball is away and lands and bounce 4 squares away from target ghoul. He marks the ghoul, but fails the Pick up. I dodge and does the 4+ pick up and the dodge to endzone 1-0 and he fails to score in his last two turns. PHEEW... that was a miracle 0-4 casualty - not nice5 match: against hardhitting ogres. I kick and he manage to get to 1-0 in his turn 7, I have casīed 2 snots I fail to score in my 2 turns but KO 3 snots and only 1 or 2 gets back. Then I recieve and finaly go through the magic armour 5. i score after 4 turns in the second half. Then he can only field 1 snot I get a blitz - ahhh... very nice. I mark up his ogre ready to catch the ball and he fails. He pulls back every thing that he can and makes a wall of ogres. I fail a 4+ pick up with reroll and the ball ends in the hands of a zombie He blitzes and get![]() and desides to go for . My zombie gets KO and nothing happen to the ogre. But with a dodge and a pick up I can make a handoff to a ghoul and score - so be it 2-1 win and 2-4 in cas.Tomorrow I have to play against chaos dwarfs in the 1/4 finals. This is the first time ever that I have been undefeated after 5 matches in a tourney - yihaa |

| With your TD against the Chaos guy I don't know if you should complain that much about the norse touchdowns that gave him the draw ![]() Nice going anyway.

| Match day two and up against chaos dwarfs in the 1/4 final. The first 5 rounds was with swiss draw to get the 8 best coaches. I deside to kick to him and then he fails the first pick up attempt even with a reroll. I swarm forward and around his slow dwarfs on both sides. Then get into a huge scrum and after several ball posession changes I finaly manage to get a 2dice blitz in and bounce the ball out to my mummy. Lucky for me he fails the catch and the ball is easy for my blodge ghoul to take. Then I manage to score in turn 8 and up 1-0 I recieve for second half. I managed to take out 2 of his Hobgobs and only losing 2 zombies so I had a full 11 man team against his 10. Then I get a dwarf out and grind to a nice 2-0 win with 3-2 cas record. Nice to get to the semis ![]() In another match my would have been opponant gets disqualified for putting two skills on a wardancer. He misunderstood the rules. He had side step and strip ball on the WD and just that combo was the only reason he was in front 3-1. They found out with 4 turns left of the second half - not so bright competitors Sad part was that I now had to play Lizard men instead of woodies - I have never lost to woodies with my undead tourney team, but lizards I just hate.I deside to kick - naturaly! Then all hell brakes lose. He only had 4 skinks on the team, all rookies as all skills exept one break tackle was block on the saurus and krox. He manage to score and the best thing I can say about first half is that he did not get to 2-0. I had so miserable dice it was horrible - failing 3+ dodges all the time. In turn 1 my rookie ghoul rolls double1 and dies. On turn 2 he one dice my blodge ghoul and dead. Some how I manage to stop him from getting to 2-0 and then I recieve with only 8 players against his 11 fresh and unharmed. The worst was that he marked my mummies with skinks I had chosen block for both my mummies on the double skill rolls and out of 8 3 dice blocks I got one skink down During the game I managed to KO one skink and stunn 3 in total. The KO came back at halftime and 2 of the stunns was failed dodges I got 8 cas against my team. I did mange to break through his line and run free and score, to get it to 1-1. But he had 3 turns to score.I have 8 Undeads against 10 lizards as a surprice KO saurus stays out. Then I kick a high kick and his skink catches the ball then he gives me yet another change to blitz his ball carrier. I do that and wrestle his skink down. But the ball just jumps over into the hands of a skink in a TZ for a 5+ catch He scores and all I can hope for is a weird riot to give me 2 turns to force an overtime. The riot does happen![]() I get my wights within scoring distance and leave my ball carrier in the back field. He then kills one of the wights and marks up the other with 3 skinks. Hmm... I do a 2 dice against blitz on a skink![]() no rerolls left of course. Then I make the 4+ dodge but he fails to do the 3+ dodge Match lost against a lizzard coach with suicidal skinks. Dammit dammit dammit, that was grimmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Lost 1-2 and 0-8 in casualties![]() So I end in third spot. Had it been swiss draw all the way then I would have won the tourney He also wins the final, with the same suicide skink aproach. How hard can it be to take them out - arrrggghhhh. I even had a tackle wight, I dont get it. But anyways it was fun and ending on 5-1-1 is a sweet record and an exelent warm up to the world cup |
