[Painting] Favorite Blood Bowl minis?

So, I was looking around online, and we're kind of spoiled for choice in miniatures. I mean, there are quite a few really good choices for Blood Bowl teams.

So, which version of each team do you think are the best?


I'll start off:

I think Greebo's crocodiles are the best Lizardmen team out there. I just love the leviathan and baby crocks.

Also, I really like GW's vampire team, and it goes so well with Dorian the Lost from Impact.

Yep, I think the Impact Crocs are brilliant (really need to get a full team!).

Also, I really like GW's vampire team, and it goes so well with Dorian the Lost from Impact.

FYI (if you didn't know) that's because they were sculpted by the same person (Steve Buddle). Lord Dorian is actually based of a one-off that Steve made when sculpting the vamps for GW, that GW cast for him.

For some reason, the ARBBL Chaotic Warrior and Pumpkinhead are among my favourites.

Can't look pst the GW 2nd edition Skaven.

The unreleased Zug, that shows on eBay now and then.

The Impact Pharaohs of Vihktora minus the midfielders.

The Gaspez Chaos Marauder and Chaos Dwarfs (minus the hobgobs) (though I won't buy them)

The Greebo CDs (minus the hobgobs)

And Willy minaitures makes some of the best single players going - shame he doesn't makes some teams in the same vein.

I love the 2nd ed skavens to. I also like the Phil Levy chaos pact.

I've yet to try any non-GW models for Blood Bowl to be honest, but I do find myself prefering the 2nd edition (late 80s early 90s) models over the 3rd edition range, for the most part.

I'm very pleased with my 2nd edition Orcs and really like the feel of 2nd edition Humans and Skaven especially. My favourites would have to be the 2nd edition snotlings though, so much fun.

For later editions, the Nurgles Rotters and Necromantic teams I like, and the latest Pro Elves have character.

I need to branch out though and try some of the other manufacturers - a good human team would be nice.

2nd Edition Elves are by far my favourite models. I also have the 2nd ed human team, but think GW's most recent version of the humans is actually better.

I just found out about Franarcilla's line of miniatures. It looks like he did some sculpting for Willy Miniatures, but it looks like he did some pretty great sculpts aside from those too.

Indeed we are spoilt for choice for some races now.

Shame there still isn't really a nice option for some races. High Elves for examples and the only Amazon option (the original Shadowforge Humans) are no longer being made. Not really been any good Wood Elf options either but I'm not planning on ever playing them.

I actually really like the current GW human team (and own some).

The catchers and thrower poses are great, and the rest are ok too. It's a shame really, since I don't really like to use human catchers.

Some of those Franarcilla models are gorgeous.

frans undead and nurgle are just exquisite, and his orcs are really good too. from what i've heard willy's going to be making a human team in the style of the one offs they already have and gaspez chaos dwarf models are great. shame about the hobgobs and centaurs.

teams that desperately need doing in my opinion are amazons, norse and high elfs. 2nd ed skaven, elves and chaos humans are some of my favourites. i keep going back to 2nd ed humans as well more than any other human team.
