| My dodge catcher got a double and I'm not sure what to give him The rest of the team: Albany Blood Bowl League my league also runs these rules, so I don't expect my players to get many skills (each season is 8 games): http://www.albany.bloodbowlleague.co...ayersmkiii.pdf |

| I am no guru but I think you can't go wrong with guard. Yes, a guard player will gethit more often, but from my experience every guard on an elf team is golden. IMHO. |

| I really like my Catcher with Block, Tackle and Mighty Blow. His speed means that he can reach out and touch someone from just about anywhere. Plus I don't like the idea of having Guard on an AV7 piece. However, I gave this player MB because I had three Guard players (three is all you really need with agile Elves). Now two of them have died I miss that Guard really badly and would kill to get it on any piece. So I would say if you don't have any Guard then pick it (but note that my two AV8 Guarders died precisely because they often ended up next to an opposing player).

| If the team can be played again in future seasons, get guard. If it is only these eight games, agonize a bit about the decision, then get guard. ![]() Guard is good, and on a dodger elf it is very good.

| I went with guard, I can play this team in future seasons (at the end of every season he might be force retired though )He makes my second guard, the other is a lineman and he would of been my third but i gave the blitzer juggernaut, i was new to the game then and have received endless ridicule for doing it thanks for the help |

| Well, if you put frenzy on that blitzer you can use him and one of your guards to start throwing people off the pitch real easy, then they might ease up a bit on the teasing. (If given two assists he can even get flesh golems off the pitch, which might easily catch necro coaches with surprise, given how they can usually trust in their stand firm to keep watch on the sideline. (The frenzier should also get sidestep, to have some protection against counter-surfs) edit: I see, those are pretty harsh force-retirement rules. You should at least try to encourage them to change it from 1d6*10k to "level"*10k, or even "skills gained"*10k. One nice thing could even be "pay half the worth of his skills" and "pay the full worth of his skills", since that makes +str players more expensive ![]() Anyway, best of luck. Do you get any new players in exchange for those who retires, or could you be unlucky and simply loose your entire team irrevocably and have to start playing with 11 journeymen?

| You could potentially lose everyone and have to start at 11 journeymen (you would usually just choose a new team though) |
