| Just a quick hello to all you fellow coaches and blood bowl fans. Im a coach and have been coaching for 4 years. A late comer to our great game. Started my career coaching Dark Elves, before they had those deadly assassins and brilliant runners. Made the transition easily and had some success last season taking out a major in my local league. Have made a change now turning my hand to the Chaos Dwarves. And loving the new harder hitting style these guys play. Enough about me though. As this is my first EVER post id love to hear from like minded coaches and sportsfans alike with any tips for my new team. Looking forward to talking all things bowl.. |

| Welcome Morgred, my advice to you would be to read the development articles, though I guess you already have. So in that case I can't stress enough take Guard and not Mighty Blow as the first skill on your Chaos Dwarves.

| Pfffftt... just roll doubles so you can get claws and ekstra claws and then some with guard to make it easy to punish all that AV8+ you will meet |

| Thanks Coach.. Yeh i have read your articles and am glad you brought up the MB vs Guard as the first skill on my CD's. Why do you suggest guard? My thinking is MB would help reduce the number of opposition on the pitch. If you have a numbers advantage you wouldnt need as much guard. Plus it would help your CD's to skill up more quickly. Also as dwarves have block making 1d blocks a viable option anyways. Thats just me though.. So why would you say guard is a better option? And yeh ive prepared a CD wit claw mini in anticipation of my first double |

| Mighty Blow won't cause more injuries if it means you have less two dice blocks in the first place. Guard will also make it harder for other teams to block you, as well as meaning you knock more opponents over.

| Thanks again coach.. I hadnt considered it from a defensive side. Reducing the number of 2D blocks the opponent can make would make life hard for him. Also itll help my Mino get 3D blocks and protect the hobos caught in a brawl. Im converted! On doubles as a first skill would you take claw. (My league consists of 9 teams only 2 predominate AV7 teams.) and what skill would you give him next? |

| I've not really played Chaos Dwarfs much since they got access to mutations. If you are facing a lot of higher armoured teams though then one or two could be useful. It would depend how much Guard I had, same applies to the second skill as well, if I thought I already had enough Guard to cope then I would take Mighty Blow, otherwise I'm sure you can guess the other option!

| I always hope for two dwarfs to roll a double, so that I can develop two killers. The rest almost always start with guard, at least untill I have 4 with guard. Then its time to get killing skills. Why 4 with guard? Exelent for cage corners and realy hard to get through four guard dwarfs covering each other when defending |

| Thanks for the advice boys.. Really helps. As for hobo's, ive read the suggested builds and i think i prefer to carrt the ball with a Bull over a hobo. I tend to see hobos as great for filling in gaps in loose cages or screens or providing that extra assist or of course fouling. With that in mind, how would you build hobos to best compliment a Bull carrier.

| I wouldn't but Block / Wrestle + Fend. Though I doubt they will get more than one skill using them like that. So pretty much exactly the same skills but without Sure Hands on any of them, not like they have a lot to choose from with only general access and as I just mentioned, they won't be getting many SPP anyway.
