Hi ethical, welcome to the site.

I've moved your post into a new thread as I think it deserved one. Looks like a nice start though your blog is rather dark and so are the pictures making it a bit hard to see (it might be this monitor though).

Look forward to seeing it progress. For the dugouts have you considered actually making them "dug out" and sunken into the sides of the pitch. This will obviously make the pitch raised up higher on the table but I'd love to see someone do that rather than having them to the side above ground. Think your squares might be a bit big though, will you make a custom range ruler to suit?

yes good point regarding the square sizes ( the actual squares are the same as the original game but i stupidly didn’t allow for the router sides which add about 2 to 3mm to each square - so over the whole length & width of the board it soon adds up )

I will work out the ranges and like you suggested make a new board specific range ruler in the same design.

Had a think regarding the sunken dugouts and it’s a goodish idear – the only problem I see is the block dice may keep finding there way into this recess when you use them which may get a bit annoying over the course of the game.

But like my original post it’s still in its early stage and I'm open for suggestions.

But appricate your feedback.

There is a throwing chart based on squared you can use for passes (interceptions may be a bit trickier though). I'll see if I can dig it out and get it posted on the main site.

As for dice rolling into the dug outs that can be avoided by using dice cups. Or you could make a sunken tray running along the side of the entire pitch to roll dice in. If you have the dugouts for both teams on one side of the pitch you can make it a draw that pulls out the other side and then hides away under the pitch. This can also double up for storing things in there if you wanted. That was the plan I had in mind if I had room to store a stadium after I built it.
