| Okay, so not so much as rules question as one for the community. I've been playing in my second season with a local group of players, and the games have been fun. One of the other players brought it to my attention that the commissioner has been padding the stats of his new team this year. How do you think we should address it? Honestly it just shocks me to see this because he is an awesome guy. He has been maintaining so much of the behind the scenes stuff. He is very active in maintaining the website we've used, pretty much got all of us together, and despite this attempt to gain an advantage- I do think he is a cool guy. My question is how should I handle it, or what would you do. <sidenote: We have been using a secondary league manager instead of running the teams using the Bloodbowl online system> |

| Tough situation.. The only thing that could work in my experience is total honesty and onfronting him with as many people as possible. Just gather up and talk to him about it. If he admits it can be solved, if he doesnt it is harder.... hope it works out! /SorroW

| What does padding the stats mean? Is it via the Cyanide game or TT? |

| I'd agree with the earlier poster that getting a group of people together and talking to him about it in a calm and friendly manner is the best way to go. In general, the idea is just to point out that you've seen these inconsistencies on his team and that they can't be explained through normal play. Tell him that you value him as a commissioner, and you love the league and all the work he's done to make it great, but that this sort of behavior will eventually alienate players and kill the league. If he's as dedicated to the league as you say, he'll be embarrassed, but willing to make amends and go on with league business.

| Ouff. Ill advise against an open group discussion where he may lose face with everyone... you know how those confrontations start but you never know where they will end. I ll advise rather a one to one discussion first where you ask him about the issue privately and give him a chance to explain to you. Specially in the off chance that you are wrong about him padding the stats. If he indeed has padded his stats, then the best way out is that he realizes for himself that he needs to publicly correct his stats and/or apologize to all of you. If he insists and you still strongly believe he is cheating then you can threaten with bringing the rest of the team on the issue... and still, I am sure he is not dumb, the mere fact of you telling him in private is in itself already an indirect threat that everybody else can also know. | I agree with Viajero. I think it's probably best to start in a more non-confrontational way with something like saying that you think there might be a discrepancy in the stats. i.e. "I think there are some errors in the stats, for example, I think your blitzer only got 2 CAS last game, but his SPP went up by 6", or whatever the case may be. A lot of the time giving someone the chance to save face (as Viajero said) and write something off as a mistake usually works out amicably enough and with the same result (things get fixed and they never do it again). Some people are less non-confrontational than I am though, so maybe another strategy works better for you. In short, if this person's a friend I'd rather for the solution I want than go for the otherwise you might get . |

| I agree. Don't do it public at first. I'd do a one on one and play stupid. Act like you're trying to learn the stat system and some of the stats you've seen has you confused. As him to explain how he calculates it using your team and his and see where he goes with it. If you're still convinced he is padding then confront him and ask him to correct or you'll need to consider your participation and that you'd feel compelled to let the others know what you've found.
