| As my plans to renew my extremely popular Legends Outworn Khemri team blog have faded into oblivion, I've decided to create a thread that will serve both as a chronicle for my teams and place to get skill advice.I'd like to start with the aformentioned Khemri, who are currently playing their second season in RPG Codex League/Cup, and so far going strong, with a record of two wins (2-0 against Vampires and the exact same result against a veteran Human team.) and one draw (1-1 vs Norse. I hate Norse.) Current standings. The team is themed around movie stars (with some dubious choices for some names), who are either already dead or at least have their glory days behind them. Current roster: Tomb Guardians: Dolph Lundgren (19 SPP) - Block, *double skill pending* Arnold Schwarzenegger (16 SPP) - Mighty Blow, Guard Sylvester Stallone (13 SPP) - Mighty Blow Steven Seagal (11 SPP) - Mighty Blow Blitz-Ras: Jean-Claude Van Damme (8 SPP) - Tackle Chuck Norris (4 SPP) Thro-Ras: Clint Eastwood (31 SPP) - Block, Dodge, *skill pending* Harrison Ford (9 SPP) - Block Skeletons: Brandon Lee aka the MVP hog (12 SPP) - Block Bruce Lee (7 SPP) - Guard Jet Li (7 SPP) - Wrestle Sean Connery (5 SPP) Mel Gibson (0 SPP) 3 RRs, 6FF, 1 cheerleader, 400k gold -------------------------------- Team is shaping up quite nicely, despite no stat increases. Ok, there was one stat; an early +AG on a Tomb Guardian, which I declined, which probably made Nuffle angry, so no more stats for the undead. My fault. ![]() As You may have noticed, there are two skills pending right now. Clint Eastwood, the team's captain and biggest star has reached level 4 and got a normal skill. He's the main ball-carrier in offense and a very useful support player on defense, so I was thinking of adding Fend to his Block and Dodge. Other option I considered is Strip Ball, since I'd really like to have the skill on someone and it tends to work well combined with Sure Hands and Dodge to pick up the loose ball and run away with it - although Clint's AG2 may be somewhat of a problem here. As for Dolph Lundgren, he just got a second double to his Block and I really have no idea what to give him. Coach's article suggests Frenzy, but I'm not a fan of Frenzy on a player with MV4 and AG1, especially that it would prevent me from getting Grab later. Also, I don't like the obligatory follow-up feat, since positiong is a very important matter for this team. What are my other options? Dodge and then Break Tackle for cage-busting? Seems nice, but it's a long way to 31 SPP without Mighty Blow (although Block helps a lot with getting those SPPs). Tackle, so every dodger fears getting blocked or even marked by him? Jump Up seems nice too, but not that he's getting knocked down a lot - and he'd only block on a 3+. I am also considering Sure Feet to increase his range a bit. Any advice on the above? I'd be grateful for any hints.

| I'd go with Dodge for the Tomb Guardian, as it will make him really hard to knock over for most opponents. Then you can build him with Break Tackle, Guard and Stand Firm and he becomes a monster pain in the arse! The Throw-Ra could take Fend, but you should also consider Kick-off-return. |

| Cool theme, but how can you say that Van Damme's glory days are behind him after he has done the recent Coors Light Beer adverts . A come back if ever I saw one!http://www.coorslight.co.uk/

| Another vote for dodge+(later)break tackle. Remaining standing = more blocks made = more SPP ![]() Fend on the Thro-Ra, I suppose. edit: Although I guess I'll have to agree with danton again - KoR could be solid.

| Here's the second of my teams; The Sidekicks, a Goblin side who currently takes part in CC VI (it's their second season after CC IV) and is going strong with 2 losses in 2 matches and a TD record of 1-4 .The team is themed around various sidekicks to heroes of works of fiction. Trolls: Chewbacca (5 SPP) Mr. Spock (14 SPP) - Block Non-regular Goblins: Samwise Gamgee - Fanatic (2 SPP) Doctor John Watson - Pogoer (0 SPP) Igor - Looney (3 SPP) Robin the Boy Wonder - Bombardier (0 SPP) Regular Goblins: Enkidu (10 SPP) - +AV Tonto (5 SPP) Aaron (10SPP) - Side Step Nodwick (0 SPP) Ron Weasley (3 SPP) Baldrick (0 SPP) Sancho Panza (5 SPP) Little John (8 SPP) - Strip Ball [MNG] 3RR, 3FF, Apothecary, 300k gold TV: 1060 (1130 with Little John) The teams biggest star is the Apothecary, already curing 2 deaths during this season (Igor and Little John). Mr. Spock (the Troll with Block) also has his moments, but has spent majority of last matches either on the ground or contemplating the beauty of the universe. The biggest problem, aside from the moronic coach who has chosen +AV and Strip Ball instead of +MV and Wrestle, is that almost all MVPs so far have gone to regular Goblins (except one for Mr. Spock). Next opponent is Green Nationals Orc team, consisting of 4 BOs, 4 Blitzers, 3 Linemen and a Thrower. The game plan for this match is to level up Chewbacca. Whatever the cost.

| Time for another one: Mico's Ferengi Crew is an Underworld team which I coach in Fumbbl private league RPGCodex Tophat Monocle League. The team is themed around one of the Star Trek races - the small, greedy and sneaky Ferengi, and is currently playing in its first season, so far going strong with 5 wins and 1 loss. 0-2 against hoverdog's Warsaw Pact (Chaos Pact) 1-0 against Chaos Dwarves 2-0 against Norse 2-1 against Skaven 2-0 against Dark Elves 2-0 against another Norse, including a Yhetee with Mighty Blow The last match proved very taxing for the team, as I only managed two KOs in the whole match, meaning I was getting more and more outnumbered as the game progressed and the MB Yeti was wreaking havoc among my team. My Troll was killed (but saved by the apothecary) and two Skaven permanently injured, making the roster like his: Grand Nagus Zek - Troll (15 SPP) - Block Skaven: Quark - Blitzer (9 SPP) - Tackle niggle [MNG] ![]() Liquidator Brunt - Blitzer (2 SPP) Rom - Thrower (5 SPP) Ishka - Thrower (19 SPP) - Dodge +MA Nog - Lineman (0 SPP) Solok - Lineman (10 SPP) - Wrestle -MA [MNG] ![]() Goblins: Goss (10 SPP) - Two Heads Letek (8 SPP) - Two Heads Mordoc (0 SPP) Par Lenor (0 SPP) Sovak (3 SPP) Kayron (0 SPP) DaiMon Bok (0 SPP) Kazago (0 SPP) - [MNG] 3 re-rolls, 5 FF, apothecary, 140k gold With three players MNG, two of them ST3, I am facing a few tough decisions here. Do I fire the two Skaven and hire new ones (for exactly 140k gold...)? I could also just hire one more Goblin and approach the game with a Troll, 4 Skaven and 8 Goblins (6 + 2 in reserve), but it does not look very promising, especially that I will only field one Blitzer. There's also the option of hiring some kind of a Star Player, as if I do nothing I will have around 200k inducements to use. My next opponent is a Chaos Pact team that so far has 4 wins in 4 matches (and two matches still to play before facing my team), so their TV might yet go up before the game. This gives me some time to think the situation over, which is good, as I'm a slow-thinker and can gather hints from the noble community here.

| Quick update on The Sidekicks. I've hired two new Goblins as meatshields, which allowed not to get outnumbered (as fast...) against Green Nationals Orc team and brave Goblins somehow managed to win the match 1-0! Enkidu (+AV Gob) scored a touchdown, Samwise Gamgee (Fanatic) badly hurt an Orc, and Robin the Boy Wonder (Bombardier) got the MVP, but no player has levelled up. On the downside, Sancho Panza got his back damaged by a bloodthirsty orc, so he gets the boot along with his precious 5 SPPs. ![]() The Sidekicks also earned 60k gold and got +1 FF. Updated roster: Trolls: Chewbacca (5 SPP) Mr. Spock (14 SPP): Block Non-regular Goblins: Samwise Gamgee [Fanatic] (4 SPP) Doctor John Watson [Pogoer] (0 SPP) Igor [Looney] (3 SPP) Robin the Boy Wonder [Bombardier] (5 SPP) Regular Goblins: Enkidu (13 SPP): +AV Tonto (5 SPP) Aaron (10SPP): Side Step Nodwick (0 SPP) Ron Weasley (3 SPP) Baldrick (0 SPP) Sancho Panza (5 SPP): niggle [MNG] Little John (8 SPP): Strip Ball Crow (0 SPP) Volothamp Geddarm (0 SPP) 3RR, 4FF, Apothecary, 280k gold TV: 1180 (1220 with Sancho Panza) Fun fact: none of Goblin skills have come into play during the match. Little John was missing the game due to injury, Aaron (side-stepper) was KO'd by a Blitzer (on ) on the very first Blitz of the game - and never got out of KO box, while Enkidu (+AV gob) only got knocked down once, the armor roll was 11 and he got stunned.
