 Net crashes... server lost My game is either bugged or I'm very unlucky. One game crashed and the other the internet crashed. Both I was doing well... really pissed. Game crashes are rare now... but my router here really is a pain... it restarts/crashes/loses connection all the fucking time. In the past that meant waiting 3 mins for net/router to get back and I got back to the game... but the last 5 times its not done that. Everytime I got back but it said connection with oppo lost. When finally the clock ran out I was the loser and the other guy got 2 MVPs. They always tell me they waited in game... so in the past I managed to get back in game and no more. Why ? How can avoid this ?

| Have you really made sure your router has properly forwarded ports etc etc? If you need help there let us know, we may be able to advice. Sidenote: thisn post does not really eblong in this subforum, this is for bbtactics forum and Coach´s website potential issues, not Cyanide´s. |

| Sorry... didn't know where to post. I port forwarded with the help of Verbal_HM... so so. But since I share the router with GF my PC's IP changes evertime from ending .33 to .34. So usually I go into router and change... but when the net crashes I think I get assigned something different and I lose server completly. The result is my reliability score is pathetic and I lose games way too frequently for my taste.

| It might be possible to set your computer to a fixed ip, or alternately reserve a specific IP for your computer on your router. I had to set the IP I wanted as reserved in my router's settings, that way I only need the port rules once.

| I'll try to do that... Clicked reserve box on LAN client list. So now my IP always that one ?

| Ok. Lets try to fix this, starting from the very beginning. If you have patience and bear with me! By the looks of it it seems you have not even got a proper static IP address yet. Ok, first things first. Just so to be sure: What kind of connection you have for the PC you play BB with? Cable to the router? Wifi to the router? or straight cable connection to your internet provider modem socket? In case of router can you please post here the brand and model of said router? |

In prinicple that should not have anyhting to do with the PC IP address. Do you have different log in user ID´s when you log in to Windows? |

| Viajero... the issue is only why after the net crashes that I can't get back to game... when in the past I did manage after the router got the 3 lights flashing again. I meant to say that we share the same wifi router. I have a ZyXel P660w-Tx router. Verbal_HM managed to guide me through the port forward thingy... but I still get ghost connections. Something in my computer or router (its not the firewall) is mucking things up.
