| Strange. Typically in those router/modems supplied by the internet provider one can not meddle with the ports as they are controlled by the provider... Anyways. | Why do i have to disconnect and connect again to get acess to internet when the router lights restart ?

| It does sound like it's a problem with the router. If all the lights are going off it is either losing power or resetting itself. If you can get your hands on another router you could try using it instead. You'll need to get a list of all the settings for your ISP (this may include Connection Protocol, VPI, VCI, Authentication, Primary & Secondary DNS servers). You should be able to Google these but you may need to phone your ISP if you can't find them. You'll also need your username and password for your internet connection.
