Default New Coach Approaching...
Hey guys,

I'm a three-year running coach under the pseudonym Valokiloren on the Legendary Edition, hence the username title on site. I'm hardly a veteran player, but I make do and can play with the best of them on a good day... make that a very good day.

Anyway, I've had the most luck using the more "average teams", who can consistently move the ball as well as block, so obviously I've had the most luck with Humies, though that hasn't stopped me from trying out everything on the market thanks to the LE.

I'm trying to get used to the Skaven team atm, as I'm finding them to be fairly expensive to coach and I'm having difficulty choosing skills on certain players. The GRs are simple to give skills to, as I know what I need to do with them, but the SVs and the Thrower are making it difficult for me: I've got the idea that the SV should be used as Guard pieces at first, but I just find I then have a 110K player sitting allowing me to get Push-Both Down results with rookie Linerats. Which frustrates me somewhat as I like to play a mix of Agility and Bash.

If anyone can give me a hand on what to do with the SV and the Thrower, I would appreciate it very much, as I've decided after some single player Skaven training I'm going to roll my third Skaven team for online play. Thanks for being so helpful to my gaming Coach, and I hope to play some of you soon! ^_^

Hi Valokiloren,

Have you read the relevant player articles on both those players? I would have said they are rather straightforward players when it comes to selecting skills for them. If you want to elaborate more on what you feel your issues are I can perhaps try and advice more specifically.

EDIT, never mind I see you started another thread, I've put some thoughts in response to that one.
