This is the current state of the Archons of Malice as we prepare for the final match of Season 11. A Win against Pidpad's Lizardmen will earn the Archons 2nd place in Division 1 and see the Archons return to Division 1 in Season 12 and earn Coach Anglakhel "the Ironstar" another season on the Iron Council.

In all likelihood, we'll add a Rookie Blitzer before the match and possibly a Rookie Lineelf to take us back to 12 players. We need to research our opponent a bit though and calculate potential Inducements.

Obviously, we're carrying a lot of bloat in Darkhowl and Vharrik, not to mention Telthel. Darkhowl, however, has proved invaluable facing the Lizardmen, despite his Smashed Collarbone. He's bloated, but he's an ideal player for dealing with Skinks and unskilled Sauri. We'll continue to look for the right time to fire him, but I think the Archons need him to earn this last Win of Season 11.

Division 1 action.

Lee's Lizards have secured the OCC Title for Season 11, but 2nd place, and a return trip to Division 1, is still up for grabs.

The Archons of Malice will take to the pitch to try and secure 2nd place when they face another Lizardmen squad in Orange Overload. Orange Overload, who are ranked 11th All-Time, have replaced ApocaBlitz! Now after their bizarre mid-season meltdown. The Archons need a Win to clinch 2nd place. Anything less leaves the window open for Behold the Thirteen or The Legion of Doom to grab 2nd.

Archons stumble with small but critical mistakes and settle for a 1-1 Draw.

The Winner of the match between Behold the Thirteen and The Legion of Doom will capture 2nd place. Should there be a Draw, the Archons of Malice will hold onto 2nd place.

Just watched it. If by mistake you talk about turn 15 where you block the saurus outside of your cage instead of blocking the one marking your carrier, I agree it costs you the game but you had to risk it if you wanted to avoid an easy score from his star skink.

That's what I hate when playing against lizards, you can never secure the score...

When is the other game geting played?

Not sure when the other match will be played. I haven't seen a time agreed upon by the two Coaches so I'm really not sure what is up. Tomorrow is the last day.

Even worse than blowing my own chance to secure 2nd would be to have the last match decided off pitch.

I made a number of mistakes, but that last drive was really poor. I have to say, I've been sick all weekend and I'm on cold medicine today, so I wasn't at my clearest, but I made too many positioning mistakes.

I had a very one dimensional attack, making it too easy for my opponent to shut me down. I underestimated the Lizardmen's mobility, allowing them to box me in. I could have positioned for better protection of my Runner and given myself a few more options to try and break free. Then I set myself up for a Crowd Surf on my Runner that would have no option for a Dump Off.

All in all, not great play on my part in the 2nd half and Pidpad is one of the OCC's very best Coaches.

I'm hoping for a Draw in the last match, but expecting to be relegated to Tier 2 after I made too many mistakes this season.

It appears that the last match of Match Day 9 and Season 11 is not going to be played.

Not sure what is happening or if one Coach is more at fault than the other.

Waiting to hear if they will get an extension to see it played, if one Team is awarded the Win, or if a Draw will be ruled.

If a Winner is awarded, they'll capture 2nd place in the Division.

If a Draw is awarded, the Archons will maintain 2nd place.

All in all, a disappointing and anti-climatic end to the season. I'm hoping the Archons manage back to back seasons in Tier 1, but no matter what the ruling, it will leave something of a bad taste in my mouth.

Biggest disappointment is that we failed to execute and lock down 2nd place when we had the chance.

We hear you! Usually when you see the pictures of medalists on the podium in the olimpics, you see typically the bronze medalist much happier than the silver one. The silver one (in this case equivalent to you if you dont manage to stay in Div 1) regrets not being gold (equivalent to the top 1 or 2 spots in the division here) and only thinks about what it could have been if he had only... etc etc. The bronze one in the other hand, is simply thankfull of having managed to be in the podium at all!

Dont be too hard on yourself! Being up there in Div1 or Div 2 among OCC´s best is a big reward and compliment in itself already. And this is just a bloody game after all .

Hey all.

We've been a bit Blood Bowl burned out for the past couple months, but we're finding our fire again.

I'll try and get an update on the status of the Archons of Malice soon.

We're off to a decent start in 2A and have a good chance of returning to Division 1 next season if we finish strong.
