| So since I'm starting a team in the OCC this season I thought it would be a good idea to set up a team blog. Anyway my team choice was Lizardman and I went for a Liverpool theme. Team history: A team with plenty of history and tradition, Lizardpool BC fell into decline during the reign of the previous owner Hixxun Xhillett. It was recently bought by Old Lustria Skink Ventures who have brought in fan favorite, and legendary former player and manager, Skink Qennhi as new manager in an attempt to bring the club back to its former glories. Team Motto: You'll never stalk alone! Team Lineup: Krox - Sotekios Kroxiakos Saurus - Txivhi G Saurus - Xhaymi Karragga Saurus - Raul Meirelez Saurus - Mahtin Skrtel Saurus - Danyell Agga Saurus - Peppay Raynha Skink - Luiz Saurus Skink - Dirk Quyt Skink - Luxas Layvha Skink - Glen Xhonnson 2 x Rerolls First purchase will be Zaf Iqbal (Apothecary) to be followed in no particular order by Zammi Lii (Assistant Coach), 3 Skinks (Xho Qohl, Maxi Rodriquez, Fabio Aurelio) and 2 x Rerolls I'm in division 8c with 3 Orcs, 1 Amazon, 1 Norse, 1 Chaos, 1 Elf, ! High Elf and 1 Skaven. Feel free to offer comments. |

| Great theme, best of luck in your division, Lizardmen are proving a popular choice with folks around here, I hope to have similar success as others. Looks like you have quite a mixed division to deal with, and luckily no dwarves.

| You're going to have a lot of tough match-ups with Amazon, Skaven, High Elf, and Elf in the league, as shutting down a quick and dodgey offense is something an unskilled Lizard team will struggle to do. Hopefully you'll at least get some CAS experience from the games - Orcs and Chaos won't yield many, if any, SPP to the sauruses. You'll need to make Tackle and Break Tackle a priority on the sauruses and diving tackle a priority on the skinks. |

| Liverpool of all the things in the world - Liverpool![]() But the weird choise apart I think its a great idea for the theme. If you get any opportunity then try to hand off to your saurii for TD for much needed SPP on the big dudes. Give one of your saurii wrestle, consider mighty blow as a first skill on some, just to advance them faster - it is a gamble though. Otherwise block is rock solid first skill for saurii |

| Thanks for the advice so far guys. I do have a rough plan on offense which is that I'll try and run a Saurus + 4 Skink cage, hopefully within a pocket formed by the other 5 Saurus and the Krox. All TDs will be scored by Saurus if Lizardly possible .As far as skill ups go Skinks get Diving Tackle/Sidestep and the first Saurus gets Block, 2nd gets Wrestle, the rest get any of Block/Wrestle/Mighty Blow/Break Tackle. Doubles will almost certainly see Saurus getting Dodge and Skinks getting Block. Of course the deciding factor on skill choices might well be the player they're based on. ![]() And Netsmurf, Liverpool seems a perfectly valid choice to one of my admins, PidPad, who is running a Liverpool themed High Elf team. |

| Haha, really nice theme. If you're theming the skills too, Hail Mary Pass for Txivhi G seems like a solid choice.

| I cant wait to see how you do. My first season in the OCC the lizard team in my division came first (I was the only team to beat him but woodelf is a bad match up for lizards). Best of luck. Are you tied into your team yet? Id seriously consider dropping the krox and buying him later. With no ball handling skills and your plans to score with sauri the extra reroll will serve you better. | Generally I would agree that an early Reroll is a lot better, but given the agile nature of the league I'd stick with the Krox. The prehensile tail will be quite valuable in a two possible scenarios: (1) Use the Krox as a safety to pick up potential receivers and mark them with another Skink to get 3D blocks and to make their dodges away hopefully require a 3+ or 4+ (which will add up in the long run). (2) Use him on the line to tie up two to three Lineman who won't be able to simply dodge away on a 2/3+ but will now require at least a 3/4+. If they don't risk the harder dodges then their team will be less adaptable and the blocks against unskilled low AV pieces will hopefully produce a numbers advantage and get the Krox some much needed SPP.* *But don't count on it. Six games into my league so far, my Krox is -1MA, missed one and half games, and has spent almost two entire games in the KO box. She's gained a total of 2SP for one CAS, which game from a "Both Down" result that yielded the injury. The perk is that, even unskilled, the Krox is a really effective Big Guy. |

| With only 2 rerolls it is going to be very hard to score with your Saurus. The Liz starting rosters have been debated plenty, so i wont go into it. I would suggest though that Saurus with dodge and no break tackle/block/wrestle is not particularly great and will take a long time to gain the next skill. I personally would look to only give dodge as a second skill. Yes, your passing up rerolls, but in the shorter term it will pay off to take one of those other skills (and you are only playing 9 matches).

| I have to agree. Who cares about the saurus being knocked down without dodge, they do have AV9 afterall. You could consider sticking sure-hands on a saurus (greater then 50% chance off picking up) as you will be lacking RR's anyway... But to pick this over Block/MB/SF/BreakTackle/Guard/Tackle shows the character of a true BB man |
