Good luck with the bash fest

So the bash fest was going OK. It was also a refreshing change to all the trying to catch dodguy gits I've been doing recently.

I'd held out to halftime at 0-0.

I'd had a Saurus BH and used Apo to keep him in the game, I'd then 1d blocked a 3 skill BO to Dead apo Dead and MNG'd a +ST Thrower.

Second half I had the ball in hand and made the mistake of typing % into chat to crash the game . <Grumble>Bloody Cyanide with their bloody crap programming. Why can't they filter out symbols that will crash ther system.</Grumble>

So the only time available for he replay is 06:00 GMT Monday having stayed up to watch the Superbowl on Sunday night . This could be nasty.

Apparently playing Bloodbowl on less than 3 hours sleep is a bad idea .

I made several mistakes during the game which combined with good play from my opponent led to him stealing the ball and scoring on turn 8 to end the half.

The second half I had to play very aggresive and risky to try and steal the ball, but never quite managed to get a proper shot at the carrier. I did manage some -2d hits with my Wrestle Skink but it wasn't till turn 16 that I got him down, -2d blitz rerolled to knock it clear, it bounced onto the Skink who luckily dropped it but unluckily it scattered into 3 Orc TZs.

I cleared 1 Orc off the ball but still needed to make 4 3+ dodges, a 5+ pickup a 2+ GFI and 3+ catch to score. I made the dodges and pickup but failed the GFI to end the match 1-0 down. It was probably the fair result as well.

Does typing % in the chat box always crash the game?

Too bad about your loss. Last season i had a blinder of a match with only a couple of hours sleep, but i think it was more luck than anything. With your results so far its looking more and more likely that we will face each other next season.

Any injuries/skills from the match?

I'm sure I've read somewhere that it does. And it makes sense that if it ever crashes it that it would always crash it.

I believe the problem is that % is a special character in most programming languages and if Cyanide just post the chat message within a call of some sort without filtering or wrapping te message then the client will try executing a line of code that it just can't make sense of and crash.

Since there are other characters that are similarly special, I'd be surprised if % is the only one that causes problems, but it is probably the most likely due to chatting about dice odds.

No injuries or skills from the replayed match (I had my Blodge Saurus level with the MNG Thrower n the original match) but the Krox is now within a cas of levelling as well as several Saurus. It's looking like I might get 3 or 4 skills in 1 match soon.

My goal for the rest of the season has to be avoiding relegation and given there's 4 of us in the fight and I've lost to 2 of the others already it could be tricky.

Current standings at the bottom of the table are:

Orc 5pts 1-2-3
Woodies 5pts 1-2-2
High Elf 4pts 1-1-3
Me 0pts 0-0-5

I have 4 games left to overhaul all 3 teams and with both Woodies and High Elf capable of pulling off another win during the season this means I need a minimum of 3 wins (probably 4) and I definitely can't afford another loss.

Next up is a Lizard mirror match where I'm giving away 430K inducements (I expect Slibli and Wizard unless I can trim enough TV to prevent it). He has a Guard/BT Krox, a rookie Saurus, 3 Block Saurus, 2 Block/Guard/BT/MB/Tackle Saurus and 4 Skinks available.

There has been mention that % might not crash the game if you are using a French keyboard - but that's just unvalidated rumors as far as I am concerned. (Based upon Cyanide not being able to duplicate bug - but I think they tried it mostly in the communal chat, where % works nicely)

So my Lizard opponent got ill and had to concede the match meaning I got an admined win .

This meant I got 2 level ups. Given how close most of my team are to leveling up only getting 2 skills could almost be classed as unlucky.

I got a normal on a SS Skink who now has DT. The decision I'm having a bit of trouble with is what to give the ST6/Block Krox on a normal skill.

I'm torn between Stand Firm and Guard with Grab and Break Tackle as outside shouts.
