So nice - that adds perfectly up with my own numbers, just above 58 % chance to break the armour

Yes but Claws plus Piling On would have 66% of breaking armour (compared with 58%), and if you get PO and MB it leaps to 83%!

The effectiveness of POMB is well-known and has been vociferously debated. Some people think its fine, others hate it. Most teams will take the opportunity to foul a player with POMB after he piles on, or tie him up otherwise so they can't get a two-dice block. POMB players inevitably become targets themselves (they're really the only players I'll do a last-turn foul on... sorry, don't like 'em). In terms of strategy, their usefulness is debatable. Game-testing has shown that "killer build" teams don't really have any advantage with winning (although some would say that's beside the point, as its really the other team's future winning percentage that POMB affects). Sure, they're more likely to rub players off the pitch, but falling over means fewer blocks with them, unless you're constantly blitzing with them. I prefer to keep my players standing, personally. Push them away when you can, dodge away when you can't. Better you hit the deck yourself with a normal AV roll then let a POMB player hit you.

Really? I'm not much of a piling on person myself, normally hard to get on the teams I like but I think an MB/Piling On player is very useful. Often numbers do dictate who wins a game. I think you can make the mistake of loading up on killer skills at the expense of the fundamentals but I wouldn't say their effectiveness is debatable. Don't blame you for wanting to stomp them, after all their basic purpose is to ruin your team, but it's a very effective build and gives you an excellent chance of breaking armour. Plus the use of piling on is optional. So if having a player prone leaves you disadvantaged don't use it. Having said that I agree about 'killer teams' but a well built team with a couple of killers in it is a very different story.
