Default Reliable Goblin throw?
A 63% play? And I suppose a non hungry big guy would be a little better again!

On Trolls throwing Goblins for a short pass

Basic 23%
Gob Pro 29%
STR Arm 29%
Gob Pro Str Arm 36%
Troll Pro 31%
Troll Pro Gob Pro 39%
Troll Pro STR ARM 36%
TP GP SA 45%
TP GP SA + Team RR 63% 29% chance RR not burnt

Chances for Goblin to be passed and land safely at max range.

Nice! Thanks.

Goblin Pro is probably an unrealistic scenario, though.

What I'd also like to see is (a challenge for You ):

1. AG4 Goblin being thrown (more likely than having Pro)
2. Non-stupid thrower (Ripper or Morg), no Pro or Strong Arm, obviously
3. all the above scenarios + team RR in hand

It would be also nice to know how large a chance is for throw to scatter in such a way that Goblin won't be able to make it to the endzone after a successful landing, even with 2 GFIs.

With a reroll the basic chance is 42%, and with strong arm 51%
With AG4 and Strong Arm the chance is 39%, 61% with a reroll (31/51 without strong arm)

AG 4 and Morg/Ripper = 44%, 67% with reroll
AG 3 and Morg/Ripper = 33%, 56% with reroll

There is a table somewhere listing the scatter odds per square. It also says that on a standard five-point cage there is about a 25% chance that a goblin aimed at the ballcarrier will bring down either the carrier or a corner.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I put together this dodgy spreadsheet a while back to compare the odds of various throwers. Bear in mind this only gives the odds of getting a goblin into the air - it doesn't deal with the landing or catching the ball or anything, just the successful Pass Action.

Quick summary - your best bet is usually to use one of the Star Players as they don't have Really Stupid or Always Hungry. Only a Troll with Pro and Strong Arm has better odds.

For the chaos pact team I always try to use the ogre as thrower of gobbo, so fun to see the horror in the opponants face, when the sqatter is close to the cage
