Default Rushing and Passing Stats online
Just curious. How do they calculate the rushing and passing stats in the Cyanide game? I checked the stats on my team, and I have ALOT more yards rushing that fields I've covered. Do they use a number where each field represents 3+ yards/field covered?

Regards,

Jeff

BTW: Apparently when I said I'm a bashing type player, it stands up. In the AI campaign I'm playing to warm up, my team is leading the league with 32 casualties inflicted.

I think each square is 2 yards. Then passing stats also include any movement performed before the pass, and handoffs count as passes..

At least that is how far I seem to have understood it.

Cool! That makes sense. Since I had passing yardage I couldn't calculate in.

Did the ole' rush the ball carrier forward to cut down on the pass length then let fly and the catcher took off from there.

Regards,

Jeff Zimmerman

That is why when I have a lot of movement left before TD I move as much as possible to increase yardage

Taking advantage of this topic... what does that last column "Block Sustained" mean ?

I guess Block sustained covers how many of your players going down, due to blocks. Don't know if it only counts failed blocks you throw.

Guess that sustained tackles or whatever it is called counts the number of failed dodges

My Beast of Nurgle has zero "Blocks Sustained" and its certainly been hit quite a lot... its a master of getting stunned in fact... more than any other team member.

Maybe "blocks sustained" when carrying the ball ? The numbers are too low to mean anything else...

I think it means the number of times your players had their armour broken from the opponent's blocks. So it wouldn't count armour breaking from a failed dodge for example.

Doesnt make sense... I know for sure Beast's armor was broken at least twice... and its still got 0 blocks. I sure didnt try to dodge with it.

Actually when you say this I remember thinking something similar. I don't have the Cyanide manual at hand so can't confirm it is not in there, but how hard would it be to actually document this kind of stuff. Takes a lot longer to implement it in the programming than to tell people what it is good for...

Were both stunned results? In theory the KO and any Casualty or Death are already recored in separate columns, so I can only assume this is stunned only.

Not sure how well the stats work though to be honest.
