| Very valid points Narly Bird…gives me some homework to do. Since division placement is based on the coaches record and TD differential for last season, not on the current team you’re playing, my team may end up with some well established teams (the highest are around 180(0) TR/V) or could end up lumped in with a lot of the newer teams. I think I’ll go with the 1st build if I end up in a more vet division and the 2nd build if the later. I’ll try and dig up some division placement info to help me sort it out better. I can see the advantages in that first build with the inducement gold helping to cover with re-rolls and more at times (wiz..etc) so skills/abilities on the pitch might be more advantageous to have. If it’s a hybrid division (what I was in last season: 2 vet teams, 3 - 1 season teams & 3 new teams) I’m not sure. May flip a coin …thanks for reminding me of some things and the food for thought! |

| Im playing Nurgle in the Crunch Cup and in a league with new teams or experienced ones I stick by the build Beast, 2x Pests, 2x Warriors, 6 Rotters and 3RR's (30k banked). In new teams it gives you a chance to win (Pests and RR's win games) and other teams will not have loads of skills (so is balanced against your own). In experienced leagues bash teams will still destory you (Claw, Guard and MB will be around) and Ag teams will run rings around you as you struggle to knock down a dodge piece. You need RR to stand any chance of winning a game and 140k is a long way away when your only going to get 5 SPP from each game (can argue you can get RR from inducements but honestly better to get wizards, bribes or mercs depending on the team your facing). I see the value in the 4 warrior build but I hate to sit on 2 RR's. You have to consider that warriors dont win games and new ones are still good for cage corners/markers (S4, FA and DB). I like to view them as trolls on a gob team. They are great to play around and base your drives from but I wouldn't take 4 trolls on a gob team Many agrue that they need the SPP from the get go but waiting 4-6 games to get both of the (nuffle willing) will only see them miss said any "chances" for MVP (or Cas's if your really lucky). Even at 16SPP and 2 skills the road to 31 is looong (without MB).Pests on the other hand win games either by sacking the carrier (helped with extra movement and S4 blitzing) or scoring TD's. They get much better mileage from skills then other players on your team so having 2 doubles the chance of MVP landing on them. You can say you gain an extra rotter which mvp can land on but a warrior with 5 SPP is still difficult to get the CAS's while the rotter can at least try a throw with good odds. Speaking from experience one of the best stars in my last nurgle team was a blodge Rotter that was on 29 SPP before I retired the team. That team also had a Ag5 Tackle Pest that was amazing as well

| A nasty team in the Match Making open leagues could be an all pest and rotter team. You are still able to blitz with ST4, you can have a full bench without giving away inducements and no player need more than 2 skills to be effective - exept for the two killer Pestigors |

| I would start with a team of 1 mill or close to that, otherwise you will never get a MM match, since it runs on TV. I have tried a few times to get a pounding with wood elfs and since the MM system takes TV before journeys I could never get a match once a team was under 900 or 850 - cant remember the exact. But for 1 mill you get: 4 pestigors 10 rotters and 4 RR or 3 RR and 5 FF 1 coach and 1 cheer. The 3 RR option pretty much guaranties that any rerolls will go to your team and I would try that one |

| Now you guys have given to much to think about (jking). I do see what you're saying Creamster on the 140k being so far away for that 3TRR. I had considered trying one of the 3NW+BoN builds I've seen others post about. I may fiddle around with that 2 Pesti+2NW+BoN build you've used. Maybe vs. AI teams and see how I like that development. League starts back up in about a week, so I need to make up my mind soon. Thanks for more ideas you guys. Not brave enough to try the no NW no BoN build Net...I'm experienced but not sure I've enough to pull that one off yet. Last edited by lod1926; 31st July 2011 at 02:55 AM. Reason: typos |

| It was also meant as a sidenote, I have heard rumours about that roster being effective after a few skill ups though, but I would always just start out with full strength and 2 rerolls. It works like a charm for me |

| Thanks again for helping me decide guys. I’m going to try that same build you used Creamster. I did some testing and really like the team progression. My last and only question would be in what order are your new player purchases made Creamster? If we say that player loses are confined to Rotters (filled by journeyman until it can be addressed) would you go NW, NW, Pest & Pest? Or did you split it NW, Pest…etc? Given some of the points Narly made, a build with the BoN is probably the way to go in this situation. Also on a side note I tried a hybrid of Nets different approach build in a couple of tests with 3 TRR, 3 NW, 3 Pests & bank 20k (no BoN). For fun really and it did feel like a “Run’n’Gun” Nurgle team…well the closest a Nurgle team will be to a it anyway . |

| Definitely go for Warriors first.

| Definity Warrior first. For the 2nd additional player you have to look at the skills on the current 2 Pests and how much cash you have. If they are skilled up (so a level each minimum) then I would grab the 3rd pest.
