[Rules] Strip Ball vs Stand Firm

There used to be some calcifications / skill rules at the start of the skills section in the rulebook. These can now be found on page 23 of the CRP. (Page 19 of the PDF, though it says page 23 in the bottom corner of the page)

1. All bonuses / modifiers from skills can be combined.
2. Skills may be used an unlimited number of times per Action.
3. Some skills refer to pushing a player back in order to work. These skills will work as long as you roll a result of 'Pushed', 'Defender Stumbles', or 'Defender Down' on the Block dice.
4. Skill use is not mandatory.
5. You can choose to use a skill that affects a dice roll after rolling the dice (e.g. Diving Tackle does not need to be used until after seeing the result of the Dodge roll).
6. Only Extraordinary skills work when a player is Prone or Stunned.
7. A skill may only be taken once per player.

So rule 3 of the Skill Rules proves that your commissioner was incorrect.

Note that Strip Ball scatters the ball from the square the ball carrier is in.

Just remember that according to the rules the Commissioner is always right, so if he says that in his league Stand Firm cancels Strip Ball and/or Frenzy, then he is correct.

What he does wrong is claiming that he is following the RAW (rules as written) when he should be explaining he has an altered rule in place.

We have a somewhat similar problem in our league, but it is a minor issue (star players/mercenaries in playoffs, allowed in our league) and they have made their ruling clear in advance so it doesn't come as a surprise and then it doesn't really matter if they do claim that it is according to the rules.
(They have a problem with "may not" in the statement, reading it as similar to "may" )
