| I dont have alot of time to play blood bowl, and when i do its definitely not regular. So i cannot join any tournaments or anything like that. i can just play random matches in the leagues. My issue is THERE ARE ONLY BASHY TEAMS ON THERE!!!! I love passing play and dodging round e.t.c. but by my third game i have lost too many players or my positionals are niggled and so on... What can i do about this? Does anyone have any good tactics for keeping my players alive AND attempting to win the match? |

| I would look around for an open league on Cyanide called WTF (We Throw for Fun) - not huge but they are passing play oriented teams only, so might suit.

| I feel your pain. My first few teams in Cyanide was scrapped since they lost to many players. Or the wrong ones. After a while I posted here and asked for help. And I got some really useful hints. Take a look and see :In need of help for the Survival of the Elf's. /SorroW

| thats quite right. Half of the teams you will encounter in MM will either be Chaos, Orcs or Dwarves (too bad there isn't a kind of moderation that would balance representativity of races in a league as diversity is really nice in the game). Another way to play dodge and pass would be to built a undead team to do so. Ghouls & Wights can be surprisingly good playing dodge and pass with the necessary skills. Cheers, Dirk |

| Undead aren't mobile... necros are. WTF league is empty... never managed to get a single game there...

| There is one problem that I have as a bashy coach... and that's leap. I admit part of it's my fault as a coach, but with leap, the option of going over your opponent is sometimes much better than going through it. It also gives you the option of leaping into your opponent's cage to strip the ball (or stab with DE assassins). |

| I have a few ideas for you to take on board: 1) Join Crunch Them All, the "local" league on Cyanide for BBTactics. While it is somewhat overshadowed by Crunch Cup in terms of focus, there is generally one person online to face. 2) Try a Stunty team. Stunties offer much better opportunities to dodging due to inherently having Dodge and also not being affected, in terms of modifiers, by Tackle Zones. They are slightly worse at Passing, but you take what you can get. If you want to have the "best" luck with a Stunty team, my advice is to go Lizards. While not a true Stunty team in the lines of being able to have a hell of a lot of STR4, they are good at dodging and good at anti-bash after a few skills. 3) If you want to stay with non-Stunties, possibly turn to Humans. It is definitely possible to have a passing team without needing to worry about Bash at lower levels. I tend to start them with the following: 6 Line; 4 Blitz; 2 Throw; 3 RRs It's not a perfect team and does lack Catchers and the ability to legitimately train Catchers, but it can be a passing team with a few games. I currently have a inactive Human team with a AGI 5 Thrower who I tend to have focus on Long Pass or Long Bombs for shock factor - it's always a 2+/3+ anyway, so keeping them further from my receivers is no bad thing. Other than that, all you can do is keep playing and finding flaws in the general gameplay. Bash teams inherently focus on a long game and an obvious strategy - if your team can make them sweat, they start to buckle under pressure. Not always a brilliant move - they tend to go hunter-killer on your team, but you do tend to win if that happens.

| I'm not sure if it's the solution you're looking for, but maybe your best bet is to play a little somewhere other than cyanide. For when you play Cyanide, than either build some TV optimized clawbomb spam or suck it up. For outside of Cyanide games I play in the play-by-email mbbl league. With the wife and kids I wouldn't have the couple hours in any given day to play even a cyanide game. Play by e-mail lets me shoot off a turn or three a day when I get a few minutes to do e-mail. Since it is a league format and games aren't matched by equaling TV you see more variety in teams. I think for elfy teams the TV imbalance thing can work in your favor. If you're up in points than the bashy teams won't yet have their killer skills all ready to go, and if you're the underdog than you might be able to get a wizard, which provides such an effective way to break a 2-1 grind that your opponent might not even try it. |

1. Make sure if I leap into your cage that the block is 2 dice uphill. 2. Isolate or remove the leaper before he can get to you. I fully expect my War Dancer to be fouled every time she hits the astrogranite. If leap is the big weakness you have, by all means risk the ejection to eliminate it. |
