| Our local TT league club is also very involved in a Necromunda campaign. Is Stockholm close enough?

| I'm just baffled that anyone anywhere is still playing LotR ![]() It pretty much flopped in the US, but talking to friends in the UK, it was considerably more popular there.

My real issues with Warhammer Fantasy and 40K is that they are both super-expensive hobbies, and because I don't have the money nor patience to collect and paint in the bulk needed to create a halfway decent army - by which I mean about £120+ at the drop of a hat if need be - I just never got into either in the same way as LOTR. On a slightly more related topic, the only people I could, at the drop of a hat, convince to play Blood Bowl TT would be my two brothers and my dad, but only my dad would have both the patience and good nature to complete a game no matter what. That kind of puts a damper on any attempt to start a BB league. ![]() While that won't stop me from possibly converting some spare Vampire Counts Fantasy figures into a legitimate Undead/ Necromantic team (just need Wolf and Fleshie representatives), and possibly do a purchase and convert for another team or two, it does mean that they'd do little more than sit in my gamebox or on my shelf for the majority of the time.

Sadly, Stockholm could be tricky though I do love city breaks. Somewhere in the Portsmouth/Southampton area of the UK would be more the thing.

| Well, I'll try to remember to give you a shout when we next play Necro here in Andover. ![]() But I believe there's a club (that plays Specialist Games in the main) in Southampton, but I can't recall the name, and I also know there's a group of gamers in Winchester, but I'm not certain what they play and when (or even if they're officially a club).
