Question The warpstone warchiefs
The warpstone warchiefs started off as a group of techno magi in the employ of clan skyre, charged with creaking more warpstone based weapons of destruction, unfortunately the team consumed most of there "research material" and in a desperate gamble to get more warpstone quickly the formed the warpstone warchiefs(as well as allowing them to "field test" a few new "experiments")

anyways as i was saying i made them shorty after i got bored with my necro team and and i put them into the wild rose league, and for a time things were good i was wining a good number of games and tying a few and maybe losing one or 2, then i hit a wicked losing streak 18 straight loses all with what seemed to be like at least one death or crippling injury per game, and often the Turing point was when i roll a 1 on a roll that NEEDS succeed and the only way i can fail is with a 1, need less to say i got tired of it and someone (jokingly) suggested that i play gobbos as pence to appease nuffle (i had wanted to play them back a little bit ago but never made the leap) i did and i had a lot of fun with them and while i still roll for crap slightly above average it has taught me a sort of zen when it comes to injuries, deaths, and just crap rolls in generally(as well as the importance of the cage marking and a few other skills i had not quite grasped but playing gobbos forced me to learn). fast forward a bunch of gobbo games later iv returned to my lab rats after a long training season and have played 2 games with them and i'm doing great! if i do say so myself with a 2-0-1 record!

now here comes kicker when i play the skill up and said TV goes up until i face a TV1700 chaos kill team and half my people wind up dead, i know it's coming but id like to avoid it. TL//DR so basically the whole summery is dos anyone have some advice for TV management for skaven or failing that some good anti-bash team strategies for skaven or any advice in generle

here's my team roster at the moment (all of there names are parodies of scientists)

Gutter runner: sigmud fruad +1mv,block,sidestep 150
Gutter runner: alrat rinestein 80
Gutter runner: ratamedes of mordheim block, sidestep, diving tackle 140
Gutter runner: snarles darwin +1agi,sidestep,wrestle 160

Thrower:Leonardo da twitchy block,accurate,strong arm,safe throw 160

Stormvermin: grill fry the labrat 90 (currently injured at the time of this post)
Stormvermin: garleio galie 90

Ratoger: Bruce tanner damaged back 150

linerat: stephen rating fend,wrestle 90
linerat: nicola testya smashed knee 50 (currently injured at the time of this post)
linerat: fiter the lethal block, kick 90
linerat: tomass eddison wrestle 70
linerat: izak oldton guard,wrestle 100

3 RR 180

1 apothecary 50

TOTAL TEAM VALUE:1570

so what do ya think? any ideas on what to cut or on how to survive a chaos kill team or any advice in generale

well that's a given, and i'm working on that.

now i figure id give an update. remember that hammer i was talking about...well yesterday after i posted my plea for help it came down, and it came down HARD!!! the first match was against dwarfs and second turn in my thrower is killed!! luckily my apothecary did his job well that day and he got off with a badly hurt, unfortunately they same cant be said of my rat ogre and one of my stormvermin who were killed midway though the second half and one of my gutter runners received a serious concussion giving him a 6 AV the game ended 3-0

my next game was against a Norse team and that one killed one of my linemen and at he end of the match i only had 2 rats left on the field compared to his entire team so all in all that was not a good day for my rats

Sack the players with permanent injuries, play on low TV a while gathering skills and money, then once you get back up to 15-1600 through skills, buy a rat ogre and two-three linemen and get the linefodder needed to play against high-TV monsters?

edit: the above suggestion was for the old roster. Now I have no sensible suggestions at all

well riddle me this, would you suggest more line rats? i can afford 2-3 and still have 10k in the bank. because as it is i have 11 players to field and being skaven and rather unlucky i take casualties frequently and fast!

One rat I'd suggest. That takes you to 13 players, meaning two reserves at most (And fewer when you have MNG:s)

The rest of the money you need to keep in the kitty - to replace accidental GR or SV kills, and to save up for the rat ogre.

I figured id update my roster in hope that i could get some more advice of any type iv played a few games (lost them all0) and lost a few players but on the plus side i got a new ratogre and my 10 MV gutter runner now has 5 AG anyways here's the latest roster lineup of the chiefs

Gutter runner: sigmud fruad +1mv,block,sidestep,+1agi 190 (currently injured at the time of this post)
Gutter runner: alrat rinestein wrestle 100
Gutter runner: ratamedes of mordheim block, sidestep, diving tackle, -1 av 140
Gutter runner: snarles darwin +1agi,sidestep,wrestle 160

Thrower:Leonardo da twitchy block, accurate, strong arm, safe throw 160 (currently injured at the time of this post)

Stormvermin: grill fry the labrat 90
Stormvermin: garleio galie mighty blow, piling on 130

linerat: stephen rating fend,wrestle,guard 120
linerat: nicola testya 50
linerat: fiter the lethal block, kick, fend, niggling injury 110
linerat: tomass eddison wrestle 70
linerat: izak oldton 50

ratogre: bruce tanner 150

3 RR 180

1 apothecary 50

TOTAL TV:1490

Gold:50,000

i plan to build up my two stormvemin with a killer build with Mighty Blow, Piling On, Tackle, Frenzy(as well as claws on a double) and hopefully that will add some bite to my team who i believe is sorely lacking in my opouin, when i level up sigmud fraud i'm either going to give him leap or sprint which one i'm not sure of.so any thought or opinions?

also as a side note i need some advice on how best to keep my rats on the pitch i get at least 5 injuries or KO's a game and that really what dos me in(well that and the bad rolls...) so dos any one have any advice for survivability on the pitch?

From what I've seen about skaven, that seems like the correct figure.

So it might be less about survivability and more about scoring against all odds. (Always having a runner within walking distance from the endzone.)

As for your MV 10 AG5 runner I'd say leap, especially if you know how to make a chain-push sidestep for one-turning.

any tips on how to scoring against all odds. any time i have a GR in the end zone they swarm him and tear him to pieces, and it can be quite difficult in the 2nd half with a good portion of my team down and the majority(read:all!!) of his team is still mobile, plus i absolutely suck at stalling both from keeping the other team from scoring(i often am able to stall them right up to turn 7 or 8 barely keeping them there by my nails only for them to score) and from holding off to score(i have a crippling fear of the 2-1 grind and considering the 90% of the teams i face are bash teams that fear isn't unfounded)

i was thinking leap as i said but i'm not sure i'm always 1 square away for a 1 turner and always hope for a blitz or a quick snap that never comes otherwise i can never score so that's my loci behind sprint on the other hand my ball carrier has gotten stuck in the ruck so often that it been my undoing and a leap would be helpful(iv had good experience with leap on my gobbo team with the poger) especially with his nice new agi 5 stat
