Thanks for the feedback guys. Its good to know i (hopefully) made the right decision in stalling.

Unfortunately Dennis Dunaway (my zombie) got mvp, so no skill ups from the game. I also noticed one of the elves i injured got -1 strength from a smashed collarbone, so its good to know that i left a lasting impression on his team (in addition to 2 other lineman out for his next game)!

In return i have 1 zombie out for next game.

Round 2 fixtures will be announced early next week, so i will find out who i am playing next then.

You probably have a fixture list on the general info section of your divisional board.

Congrats on your first game. I would have only scored early against a slow bash team. If you give 5 elves 2 turns there is a good chance they will score.

Ah yes, i now see that i am up against a Goblin team for my 2nd match. Hopefully i can take out his Looney quickly and get 4+ rolls for regen. Otherwise it could be a high injury match!

I noticed that there is another Necromantic team in my division. They have a fairly different starting lineup to mine. Whilst I went 1 Ghoul, 1 Werewolf, 2 Gollums, 2 Wights and 3 rerolls, the other coach chose 2 Werewolf, 2 Wights, 2 Ghouls and 3 rerolls. This is a much more agile team, but I wonder how he will go against bashier teams? I still prefer my lineup, but perhaps his might be better for a shorter league. We play 9 games total and then winners from each division go through to semi-finals and finals.

In my next game against Goblins I will try and target the Looney and take him out before he can do too much damage. If given the opportunity, I might also try a 1-dice (or preferably 2 dice block) against his Fanatic. With a reroll spare, a 1-dice block has a pretty good chance of success if you are willing to take a both down result (don’t ask me the odds as I don’t know). With his secret weapons removed, I should then be in with a good chance. My opponent drew his last game against Orcs 1-1 and didn’t suffer any permanent injuries, so I am guessing he is a pretty good Goblin player (maybe I can get some tips for my Gob team in the Crunch Cup).

The game is schedule for Wednesday GMT, so will let you know how i get on then.

Just finished playing my game vs the Gobs and managed a 3-1 win! Woohoo! Ghoul, Wolf and a zombie skilled up (i have to wait until the game is authorised before i can roll the skills though). Only bummer was getting MVP on the loner Zombie.

Am now 1W 1D 0L. Will post up a full match report on my tactics, etc. tomorrow.

Haha! Get onto this lads. I've just had the fastest promotion in Orca Cola history to tier 6. This is either because of my unbeaten record (P0, D0, L0), or because somebody dropped out.
