| I was thinking of the difference between league and MM play... and I thought about why not make a thread on the worst skill choice made. Or the skill you regretted most. Not skills you picked as a total newbie... but skills that for some reason you thought might work and didn't. Especially in critical players. Myself I got Dodge on a Str 5 Nurgle Warrior... it didn't work out. When you don't have other dodge players its a bad choice. Besides having dodge on him made me try to dodge with him in 2 critical moments that led directly to losing those games.

| Not really too much to regret, mostly I guess from reading most of Coach's guides before I did too much. But I think there are skills I need to learn how to get the best out of. Fend and Wrestle tend to be difficult for me. Leap never seems to work either, but those kinds of things come down to the dice.

| I tried +AG on a chaos mino, he then proceeded to fail 5 catch rolls and numerous dodge 3+ rolls. Even when the loner reroll worked he just failed. Damn that was a waste of mino kill power |

| Last game I played I gave Jump-Up to a chaos warrior thinking it was a beastman.

| I once rolled a second double on a WD and got Stand Firm (thinking that Leaping in and Standing Firm while giving everyone assists is awesome), but it didn't do much. He was killed off in the end, but I think picking up MB would've been a lot better for the player. I blame it on inexperience and not reading Coach's articles properly, although ignorance is always a weak defense. |

| For my dwarfs, I was torn between giving one of my blitzers catch or fend... I chose the latter and regretted it. |

| Multiblock on an Assassin. More stabbing, how could it go wrong? Totally a rotten idea: - Generally you want to block with your Assassins, not Stab, as stabs usually fail and yield a free counter-block. When you have two opponents to stab you rarely clear them both. - You almost never get a chance to stab two players except when you line up on offense anyway. - Dark Elves are a defensive team, only scoring 1 or 2 times a match, so few such setup opportunities. - Not terribly useful against high AV teams even when you can do it. - Low AV teams just line up further apart, so the benefit there is marginal. - Block is far more useful! I have a Dark Elf team that I specifically made to try to get the most out of Assassins. I gave one Block (then Sidestep, Diving Tackle, Pass Block) and he was a Star. I gave the other Multiblock and he ended up languishing, then sitting on the bench, and finally cut from the team after 26 matches never having picked up another skill -- what a crappy use of a Doubles! What do I take when an Assassin rolls doubles for his first skill now? Block. |

| Also, on Cyanide - if you cause double casualties on a multiblock, the game will crash (or lock up, whatever, bugs have been reported)

| Regretted picking? That's a fairly broad subject... still - I have a solid couple of skills I regret picking up: #1: On my Raptors, my current CC Lizards team, I have a Saurus who I misclicked on a Doubles roll and accidentally gave him Strip Ball. While I've made use for it, and have even saved an entire game due to having said skill, it's a much less desirable skill than Block or Guard, that's for sure. #2: On any STR2 Dodge piece, +AG as my first skill. Why? They don't seem to be able to skill up again afterwards, and then promptly get gang-blocked, gang-fouled and gang-maimed in a bid to punish me for my impudence. T_T You guys are excessively cruel, that it's only fair I get to foul you back. I've lost two players to Deaths in CC6 & CC7 overall, and both had +AG as first and only skill, and were the "weak" pieces - a GR on my rats in CC6; and a Skink on my Lizards in CC7.
