Default World cup in Amsterdam
Well it happend that some saw fit to include me in one of the Danish teams to go to the world cup next year in Amsterdam. This got me thinking - how many are going from here and what will you play?

The world cup is for 6 man teams and no race may be repeated within the team.

Congratulations mate...

As far as that goes, I haven't been selected for any team but I have joined the Orca Cola Gazette team and I think it would be really good to do a write up on you as per your selection and also updates as to how you get on. I'd like to set up an interview if you don't mind... It might work well if we set up a private chat on the Cyanide room and then I could just fire away.

Thats no problem, when does the articles start? The tourney is not on until next november. If you want to follow the process of raceselection and teamname, then you are welcome. Right now it is called Pink Pantsies - a name I do not support and will work for to be changed into something containing the word beer. Perhaps Danish Beer Bugs = DBB

If someone have a good idea just fire away. I do prefer something with beer. I love beer right until next day

I should be going again though the UK have more teams wanting to go than there are spaces

so will be a bit of a lottery if we get in.

I'm on the same team as the current NAF president ;]

my record representing england at blood bowl though is fairly good with regards to losing games, 12 eurobowl matches and 9 world cup games and only 3 losses, captained england to our first eurobowl win too!

one of those I would have likely won if I didn't 1 rr 1 against skaven leaving the last corner of my cage exposed :[

as for what teams, no idea yet until the rules are going to be announced
looks like they will probably be similar to the previous world cup though, so it will probably favour the more traditionally strong tournament races (unfortunately)

will have to wait for the rules to come out and see how competitive the rest of the team wants to be! at this point though I'm considering vampires (rules kindy sucky for them), perhaps nurgle (though the rules aren't great for them), or I may get an orc team converted up...

course it does depend what everyone else on the team wants to play, which may rule out orcs

bored of playing humans, undead and chaos dwarfs at tournaments though so won't be one of those three

I have never played outside Denmark and only recently started playing in tournaments. I dislike the resurrection idea but since its the thing at tourneys I have finaly accepted it. Do like swiss draw though.

At the moment we're trying to get a definitive list of coaches from the OCC involved. The plan at the moment is to provide coverage of how 'the boys' do. There's another coach representing Wales at least but probably a few. Once the World Cup starts it would be interesting (at least to me) to get a coach's view of what attending the tournament is like. I think following the process of race-selection would be cool, and hopefully the World Cup can provide us with much needed material up to the day in question.

Pink Pantsies rings a bell. Is there a guy called Henk-Jan on the team?

nope no Henk-Jan. We are at the moment:

Lars - teamcaptain,
Slup,
Lundgren,
DanishChaos,
Helby,
brio123 - thats me!

We have tree reserves, but I have already negotiated with my wife so I will be in Amsterdam. I think we will meet in January and select races between us and then I will start to train with my race.

Was checking out the OCC Gazette and noticed that 2 regular posters from bbtactics are on the gazette staff. Coachman and Barninho. Good stuff guys. Am looking forward to reading your articles in the future.

I would offer up my services except that from January i will have no time and i am also heavily lacking in creativity. In high school English i regularly scored <10/20 for creative writing.

I wonder if I could get a team representing Japan to attend the bb world cup? Actually, i wonder if there are even 6 players in Japan who play the game!

Just wondered because there's a guy with a team called Pink Panties in my OCC league called Henk-Jan, so there seemed to be every chance that guy might be one of the sinister six.

I didn't realize Coachman was on the staff because his BJJ Hero tag over there gets me every time. Very confusing. I know that if anyone else, even those who only score 10/20 in creative writing, are up for helping they'd be glad to hear from you.

As per the interview, I think I'll just start with a profile on you if that's cool, and then we'll do something in more detail after the race selection. Sounds like after negotiations with the Wife you've already won the biggest battle.

I know there's a trio of Welsh players on the OCC at least.
