Default Yet another old BB player...
Used to play 2nd edition TT (man I miss that astrogranite pitch!) and had a few tournaments at the local GW back in my hometown of Vancouver. A friend of mine and I invested in the game (we were teenagers back then) and bought and painted our own figures. 20-something years later all that stuff has been lost, my friend passed away and I haven't heard of bloodbowl since. When I saw a computer version of the game, I jumped all over it! So much better game now - much more balance, if not still somewhat imbalanced! I'd buy the TT game, but there is no one here that I know who would play. Plus, I just don't have time to go painting figures!

Well, I've played 30-35 games online now and getting a better handle on the rules. I hate playing the AI as it is almost impossible not to win... even with Goblins! Still trying several different races to see which is my favourite, though I still can't decide. It might be Goblins, just for the sheer fun! I came to this forum after some extremely frustrating bad-luck games to hear other people's bad luck just to feel better about my own. I have found a few! I'll be letting out my own steam very soon, I think...

I joined a North American league and though I would love to join your Crunch leagues, the time-zone difference is about impossible!

Glad to be aboard! Thanks

almost forgot... just turned 42! Power to the greybeards!

Welcome to the forums. I hope to see a lot of Goblin match reports and replays from You. I can never get enough of those.

Hey Kaz, welcome from another old 42 year old.

I've found the guys at Old World Football to be a pretty good group of folks for North American play (even though they've modeled their league after the NFL instead of soccer). They've got a pretty slick system and online DB for tracking their own teams.

Thanks for the welcome!

The OFL does look very good, though I'll probably get over there after this crazy summer is over. Schedule is a little unpredictable right now (I'm a musician) so I'll start when I know I'll be home. I joined the NAWBB which is pretty small and the next season starts in a few weeks and is pretty flexible.

Replays? Ha! I'm so computer illiterate you could walk me through how to do it while holding my hand and I'd probably still fall on my face! I don't even know how to do basic things on the forum like quoting (which I would have done here). Don't even know what a trackback is. Will let you know how the goblins go, however...

Take a read through this: Blood Bowl Tactics Forum - Announcements in Forum : Introductions

You don't need to know what trackbacks are, just ignore them.

I'm pretty rubbish with computers also, but have managed to get to grips with things. As an online community goes this is about as good as I've found, there willl more likely be someone here who will help you out.
