| As I've outlined in the Nurgle Pestigor Article there are a lot of options for them. I'm interested to see how anyone who has played a Nurgle team for any length of time what their preference is for developing their Pestigors. What kind of builds do you go for and how many of each type you like to have on the team. It is also worth mentioning your success with the team using that structure of Pestigors, mentioning what didn't work for you can be just as valuable to discuss than what did work.

| Given that they are your best players for moving around the field I like them for the Ball Hunter role. Ball Carrier is also a role they do better then anyone else on the team but a Rotter can hold it till you need to hand it off to a Pestigor so I don't really build them much especially for that. So something like (not necessarily in this order): Normal Rolls: Wrestle/Block, Tackle, Two Heads, Strip Ball, Guard Double Rolls: Dodge Oh and I take as many as I can get (once I get the money for it of course). | I meant, you can get four, so what do each of those four do you usually like to develop for. Four Blitzers, two of each, one ball carrier etc. or something completely different.

| I don't generally specialize my men much so all of them follow the build above. |

| Had a fair few Nurgle games today and they are really hard to score with, but luckily hard to score against so not too bad. The one TD I scored owed everything to my Pestigor being the ball carrier though. As my players got tied up I ended up blitzing three times on my way to scoring. It was a game I didn't deserve to win, but using Rotters as meat shields. the Disturbing foul ones further back and my Pest as ball carrier is whats currently working best for me. Block was a great first skill choice. never had to blitz so much with a ball carrier in my life. Also wondering with four pestigors where would you position them if you didn't use your Warriors of Beast on line of scrimmage. I'm thinking it might be safer to have three for me as the formation is causing people problems when they can't tie up my Warriors and Beast. Maybe have a sub Pestigor. | I always develope two killers. Block, M-blow, Claws, Pilling on and frenzy. What is the best choise first Claws or Pilling on? Normaly I go with claws if I play in a league with AV8 and up on alot of the teams. But does anybody have the numbers? I build one to collect the ball. Wrestle, strip ball, tackle, prehensile tail and big hand. And I make a ball carrier. Block, ekstra arm, two heads, foul apperance/sure hands Any doubles and stat increases I use to support the role they are allready in. Like dodge for the ball carrier. This worked very well last season. 12 win/ 4 draw/ 1 defeat. Only one killer reached five skills, but the other was close with four skills. My ball collector made it to tree skills and the ball carrier also made it to tree skills, but second was +ST, so I gave him sure hands on the third one and it was a joy to see the enemy trying to get to the ball. |

| I don't have the numbers for Claw and Piling On but there is more to it than just that. Like you implied Claw isn't a great skill if most the opponents you face are already AV7. There is also the aspect of Piling On which puts you prone which can open up more space for the opposing side. Statistics need to be taken in context to be of any use, but where is the fun in that! I believe Piling On is better overall from a damage point of view though, even against AV7 you can still use it to reroll injuries.

| Necromancing this thread. My first skill to a Pestigor in the Crunch cup 2 was Block. I want to use him as a killer, so this is the place to start. |

| I've been running around with the full allotment of pestis (unfortunatly one died recently ) I currently have1. block, extra arms, sure hands, fend, extra head. Really wanted a double for him (for dodge), but havn't seen one. This build I find has been rather consistant on the ball handling front. block and fend have saved me numerous times, as has the horns for the str 4 blitz out of trouble. 2. wrestle, tackle, mighty blow This guy has been doing ok against agility teams. I didn't really want to take mighty blow for the 3rd skill, but playing in cyanids MM, and the plorethora of bashy teams, I think I needed the hit with him. He tends to done of of two things - either ball hunts or sits back to take down anyone who makes it through the lines. On offence, wrestle combined with tackle (to make sure I take the guy to the ground) has been golden. 3. wrestle, tackle, juggernaught He died jim Juggernaught wasn't a wise choice for 3rd skill, perhaps for 5th or so I found that the mobility and flexability of having two pestis with wrestle and tackle helped greatly against faster/agility teams. I have currently replaced him with a pesti with block - playing in the MM I think I need more killers than hunters4. block, mighty blow, claw, tackle He wouldn't have taken tackle, but I was down to 1 tackle player and that didn't make me feel comfortable. Killer, who does the job well enough. I find 1 killer (except against very heavy handed teams) in general to be enough. From my experiences, in the MM environment at 1800tv+ I would look for a ball handler, 2 killers and a hunter/safety probably. In a league, probably only 1 killer and double up the hunter/safety numbers to 2 (more likley to encounter an agility team). |

| I have a Pestigor I'm using in a never ending friendly league, I'm curious what others would suggest to do with him. We play for fun, to see interesting development choices, and to kill our friends star players. His first skill was +Ag, second was a double. I wanted to try something interesting with him, and gave him Leap. He got a few touchdowns, so now he has Wrestle. I'm assuming the next skill for this kind of player would be Tackle, correct? And then Very Long Legs? I was lucky enough with another Pestigor to also get +Ag, his next skills were Block and Big Hand. I'm at a loss of what skills to give him now though. Maybe Sure Hands to help with getting and keeping the ball, or 2 heads to get away with it? Any other ideas are welcome though. Lastly I have my evil Pestigor, with Block, Mighty Blow, Claw, Frenzy. He has just leveled, the only skill I can think for him would be Tackle, it just seems to be a boring choice. I know I'll see suggestions for Piling On, but after playing Norse and Dark Elf, I couldn't bear to take Piling On without Jump Up. I was hoping for +Str, but unfortunately my dreams couldn't come true. Currently my Pestigors looks like this - #1 : +Ag, Leap, Wrestle #2 : +Ag, Block, Big Hand #3 : Block, Mighty Blow, Claw, Frenzy #4 : Wrestle For anyone curious, #4 only has 1 skill because he recently replaced my previous Pestigor, who died from a thrown rock . |
