Orkington Red Shirts (Orc) vs. Carrion Regardless (Undead)
Summary
In this semifinal match of the Prestige Invitational (Old World Football Tournament League) between Norse’s Carrion Regardless and Mardaed’s Orkington Red Shirts, Norse has been holding a clinic on how to use the Undead race. His repeated fouling and excellent mummy positioning has repeatedly stymied the Red Shirts’ scoring efforts. Now with 1 turn left and nothing to lose, the orcs are desperately trying to pull off the tie. You’re the Red Shirts’ coach. What do you do?
Objective
It’s the last turn. Score the TD! What’s the least amount of 1 die rolls that you should use?
Rules
- You must do it in 1 turn.
- Assume that all 1d blocks and 2d (your favor) blocks will result in pushes. All 2d blocks in opponent’s favor will result as skulls.
- Ensure every 1d non-block action attempt is at most 3+ risk (i.e. passes, catches, hand-offs, dodges, all should be 2+ or 3+ for success). Assume successful rolls.

I was at this game! Mardaed had kicked himself for using his team reroll in the last turn. He positioned the goblin to B4 directly to the left of the ball carrier and orc blitzer #1 directly to the right (D4). After throwing a block with the Black Orc #6, Mardaed blitzed zombie #10 with Black Orc #8 chain-pushing the ball carrier to the top right corner. The ball carrier dodged out and stepped into the end-zone where he failed his GFI! This all required a 3+ dodge out with dodge RR skill, 3 GFI’s, 1 3+ dodge, and 2 2D blocks.

p = player
p13->a3,b4
p1->d4
p6 blocks 13
p8 blitzes p10 from c2 into p2 and pushesp2 to d5
p2 dodges to e6, makes 2x Go For It and scores
Good job.
Tell me if i’m good.
It’s about 27,1% / 55,7% TRR to succes ?
What about:
mark zombie 16 with orc 9 in A -1, block skeleton 13 with orc 8, move orc 6 to D3, move orc 1 D4, blitz with goblin 13: dodge A3, blitz from B2, push skeleton 10 on ball carrier which move to D5, ball carrier dodge to E6 then go straight for 2 GFI.
requiring: 3+ dodge with skill, 1 3+dodge, 2 2D block, 2 GFI
I should have done a better job of labeling the players…
Black Orc #8 and Goblin #13 are prone. They can’t throw blocks (unless they blitz) and they suffer from a -3 MV penalty when they get up.
oh ok didnt saw they were upside down
block skeleton 13 with orc 6, move orc 8 to D3 with GFI, move orc 1 to D4, blitz with goblin 13 on skeleton 10 in B2 with dodge in A3, push on ball carrier which go to D5, dodge him to E6 then go to endzone with 2 GFI.
requiring: 1 dodge 3+, 1 dodge 3+ skilled, 3 GFI, 2 2D blocks, same result except the goblin do the job !
