Lots of "Interesting" teams in our division this season so it'll be tough to foresee how it shakes out.
1. Carnival of Dirty Counts - Vampires - Regor
These guys have lived the good life in Altdwarf for too long, so they got booted out for a little taste of reality in Tier 2. Led by multiple Legend Vampires as well as an AG5/ST5 Vamp, these guys are almost impossible to contain. I don't see any of the teams here being able to knock them off the top of the table, so a quick return to Altdwarf is in their future.
2. La Famiglia Filadore - Chaos - Filadeus
Even though they are brushing up against 2k TV already without much to show for it I think they will challenge for the title but ultimately come up just short. Their standout player is the Minotaur, Sandro "Bebe" Filadore, with block, claws, and tentacles which could wreak havoc on a lot of teams. Combined with a solid AG4 beast carrier, they may not have any superstars but the solid coaching of Filadeus and the nice spread of spp should see them through.
3. Blunderworld - Underworld - Orielensis
If you have followed my predictions of the past, you know I have a soft spot for this ragtag crew. Although they have picked up a couple perms here and there since the last time they were in T2, this is about as ideal of a build as you can get for an Underworld team. They have failed to break into Altdwarf in the past but with that experience fueling them, along with the lack of teams equipped to stop them I think they will sneak into the last promo spot this season.
4. Exurb Exhumed Ex-Players - Undead - Halub
This is my dark horse pick for the season! These undead are lacking true star power, which is a theme for this division, but they are lean and well rounded. Their record indicates they know how to get it done so I think they will find their way up to fourth.
5. The Snapping Tendons - Human - FemurMuertez
Here is the other team that came down from Altdwarf's hallowed halls. They took a bit of a beating up there, losing a couple players (I may have killed one personally, teehee), but they still have some major threats. Other than a couple tough matchups, I think they have the potential to put up some poinbts and finish mid-table.
6. Sucky Bloat - Kislev - Supa
Well the name is certainly applicable here! They have 1900+ TV and.... well.... eh? They have some ok players, with the standouts being a block/pro bear and a mb/po lineman of all things. That being said, they do have a large roster with almost all players having at least one level up. Although they could use a true star, the relentless pressure that Kislev can apply to teams on defense should result in a handful of wins.
7. The San Jose ShOrks - Orcs - toastguy
These Orcs tore their way through the lower divisions, putting up some excellent seasons but that may have resulted in them arriving to Tier 2 a little bit before they are truly ready. They have a solid base to work with, a couple stat ups, a little blodge, some fouling potential, but they are stuck with two rookie Black Orcs which isn't ideal at this stage.
8. Headbangers Ball - Necromantic - Havol
Powered by a classic werewolf duo these Necromantic boys are yet another team without that big game player to bring the magic. They do however have a solid base for their wolves to work from. The wights and golems leave a little to be desired but they will come along eventually. They could win any given game if the wolves show up to play hard, but overall will slot into the lower portion of the table.
9. Waaagh Smashers - Orcs - Allstar 2.0
A classic bashy orc team that lives and dies by the removals. They don't have a great carrier yet, just an all-normals thrower so they will really need to get removals on offense to score in most situations. They also have a rookie Black Orc and no bench so that could cause some issues if they fall behind in players. Give them a season or two and they will be a true machine.
10. The Misunderstood 99 - Nurgle - Waleed
An interesting build on these Nurgle, definitely not the standard. Three sure hands rotters, with two of them also having extra arms. They only have a couple guard and mb, so they could struggle to control the pitch or swing removals in their favour. They do have a killer pestigor almost finished which will contribute most of their killing power. I like the creativity of the build but I'm not sure it will perform at Tier 2. Their record however, says I should have more faith as they tore their way up the ranks in a similar style to the previously mentioned San Jose ShOrks. Prove me wrong!
