A little late to the party but for players with defensive it seems to me like its main purpose is to protect itself, not to go around chasing players you want to mark so they lose guard. Correct me if I'm wrong but if a player with defensive gets hit, doesn't it still negate the guard of others trying to assist the block?
That makes it a lot harder to get anything other than a 1d block against it (assuming equal strength.) Especially if it's in any kind of cage.
So I think ball carriers and LOS are probably decent players to get it. And anyone else who is likely to get targeted a lot. That way they are harder to take down with just 2 other players, one on each side of it. Especially if those 2 have guard.
True but ST4 guard defensive will be amazing.
So if the seasons are long enough the Bob's , Flesh Golems and Chaos/Nurlge warriors will take it. Block,Guard,Defensive only problem is the amount of SPP they need to get.
ST3 defensive can be knocked away with a ST4 player but if that player is ST4 it gets a lot harder.
The first part about Niggling Injuries is true. However, only temporarily retired players can roll to recover for other permanent injuries, and if successful, the perm is traded for a Niggling Injury. Players can retire temporarily in the middle of a season. While doing so, they can’t play at all but still count as a player and a positional on the roster. Thus, a Wood Elf team with a temporarily retired Wardancer can only have one other active Wardancer on their roster, and up to 14 other players (total of 16 with active Wardancer and temporarily retired Wardancer). Then after you hire them back:
Roll a D6 for each niggle and +1 if you have an Apothecary.
4+ result removes the niggle, 1-3 it stays
Do the same for any characteristic decrease (roll for each separately)
Players:
Cost their usual price + 20K for each previous season they have played a part in (even if it was 1 game)
