Hey Volks,

I've been playing BB on and off for almost 15 years. I started with the 3rd edition and deathzone. I was already in college then, that tells you what an old fart I am.

I mostly play elves, wood - high and dark in that order of preference. Although I use wood elves mini for the three teams. I suck at painting, and one team was already too much for my patience.

I also have a necromantic team, an orc team and a werewolves team. Legacy of older than me that lost interest in the game.

My mates and I got lazy since the Cyanide version, so we play mini-leagues with the video game now. Good point, we play more often. Bad point, loosers always complain that in the real game they would have this or that option :D

Oh well, we've been playing DnD for over 20 years now, so we're pretty good at arguing for ages on rules interpretations.

Do you play on open league also?

I was thinking we should get our coach names for the Cyanide game out in the open, get some friendly rivalry going on here :)

long as it stays friendly, perhaps we all need to discuss some sort of code lol I've seen people get pretty angry bout the late game 'unnecessary' foul for example.

Oh, and get those 'mates' you mentioned on here also :)

Welcome to the Forum, I think I will have to make a miniatures section for people to post pictures of their teams up.

Sadly, I don't have the time to play Open leagues. Me posting on BB forums is probably because of the frustration of not having the time to play at all :)

However, I only play with coaches that respect the two most important rules:
  1. Bloodbowl is just a game
  2. Bloodbowl is just a game

If you have played 2nd and 3rd edition, you learned not to fall in love with your players or teams :)

True, but if you played 3rd, you also rapidly learnt that in friendly leagues you had to almost abolish fouling to get leagues to last longer than about 4 games lol.

I remember we had a game of orcs on skaven where the orc player had two designated foulers.

There were 7 dead skaven at the end of the match. plus the remainder of his team off the pitch either BH, SI or KO.

We drew a line then and made some house rules to restrict fouling.

5th has got fouling completely under control now, I really like the current rules for it, its still a powerful option, but its so risky without a bribe that you are actually making a judgement call before you foul a wardancer, rather than just doing it as a matter of course lol.
