I figure this is really the best place to put this. I think I made my first post here, so it's fitting. I'm stepping away from the game and BBTactics. I've really had a great time over the last couple years with you folks and I thought it right to post rather than just drifting away. Special Thanks: to Werebat for introducing me to the game a couple years back. to Lebe for my first game at BBT and my growing love of Nurgle despite being on the wrong side of it. to Nikolai and Gallows Bait for really putting themselves into this forum and making it special. to Viajero, Barmution, Dionysian, Travelscrabble, Street, CJBlackburn, Netsmurf, and Coachman, for showing me incredible play and the sportsmanship to back it up. to Akirilus for all those mirror matches in CTA (good luck with those elves mate) to all my opponents, who have taught me so much about this game without realizing it. To John McGuirk for encouraging my writing, despite it being rubbish. I'll stop in from time to time to check the standings, and might be along if BB2 catches on, or I get "the bug" again. As for *why* I'm stepping away it's a combination of less fun being had, and a number of twists in my life lately. I think when I really felt angry after a game in OCC I knew it just wasn't the same. Regardless, I firmly believe that every game has a life-cycle and I may have reached the end of this one. All the best, Fallow
Thanks for all the good matches. I hope you have a good break and if / whenever you do come back you feel better than ever.
It's sad to see you go, Fallow, but it's been great playing you . Hope things pick up for you, and look forward to seeing you pop by! Cheers man!
Take care, Fallow, it's been a pleasure playing with and against you, and reading your posts. I do hope you'll stop by and maybe even come back one day!
It's understandable. I've backed away from the game a lot this past year but continue to play in the OCC and CC when it comes around. As you say, each game has a life-cycle but somehow it's hard not to come back to this silly game. And believe me, it is a VERY silly game. A break is a good idea though as you have put a LOT into this game and I'm sure you have burned out from all the playing, writing and admin duties. Hope you'll come back eventually as the BB itch can be hard to resist! And this community is even harder to resist! I know even though I rarely post here very much any more (having health issues AGAIN!) I still come back and check out what's going on all the time because it's such fun reading.... like you don't already know that. So good luck, put your focus where it needs to be and hopefully we'll see/hear from you later!
Good luck mate and dont make it as long a break as when I stopped in TT. Took me 15 years to get back
Take care, thanks for the matches and hope you find your way back here if you catch the bug again, mate!
Take care Fallow mate, I am sure you will drift back towards the game at some distant point in the future I know I've had many a break sometimes for years at a time over the decades. You have me on steam so if you fancy a game of something else were both playing on multiplayer at some point feel free to give me a shout, as just because your not playing BB any more it does not mean you cannot play online. crimsonsun
Best wishes Fallow, haven't really talked much with you in my year on this forum but certainly have enjoyed reading your posts. Gods speed, Smak/ Tim
Cheers all, and I'll look for you Crimsonsun, for sure mate. didn't mean to forget you Danton. I probably owe you one of the biggest thanks... I've watched more of your games than any other coach on BBTactics. My regret is that I've not faced you enough times to have a decent game against you I've frozen up everytime we've played lol! Best of luck to all of you, and may Nuffle look the other way...
That's kind of you to say Fallow. Hopefully we'll see you again when BB2 comes around and you've had enough of a break to regain your enthusiasm for the game.
Hey Fallow, never played you I think, but I read all of the Crush of Night, and it was a very good read. Every time I browsed through the team blogs I specially looked to see if there was any new post. Now it will be less exciting to open the forum. Take care, and thanks for the good time you gave me with your stories.
