So, me and @Deithwen got to figure out who is the best khemri around here right on the first MD. I did not feel very good about this as I had MB where Deithwen had Guard.

The sun was shining brightly (there went my elf-tactics) as Deithwen won the toss and decided to receive. I placed my sacrifices on LOS and TG's little bit further back. Deithwen picked up the ball and got rid of one of my DP's. Then the chaos started. I made a bash-ball on the center of the pitch and decided to see what Nuffle says to that. Deithwen tried to foul my TG put rolled a double-push, and rerolled, new double-push. Then he insisted again on taking down my TG for a foul, Double-skulls(Thanks Nuffle!). After that I got pressure on the ball and the chaos of the bash-ball forced Deithwens hand until I got a blitz on the BC and took him down. Little more bashing, Deithwen picked up the ball, but I got a blitz again, this time the ball bounced to Deithwens end. I couldn't get to it and Deithwens skelly did not figure out what a "throw" means before the time ran out. 0-0 first half

After many regen and KO rolls I was 1 man up for second half. Kick was wide and ball was handed to my block TG. My man advantage grew to 3 as 2/3 skellys on the LOS decided they did not want to be on the pitch anymore. After a little bashing, fouling, and grinding my TG BC forward, I got an opening. I used the opening and my TD was pretty much guaranteed. Except that I wanted to surf Deithwens TG and exposed my BC to markers. In the end, I was forced to dodge my TG to the end zone. The bastard did it! 1-0 win for the We Roll Skulls.

Thank you for the game, I think you played better overall and ultimately deserved the win, but all those removals were annoying me a lot :D

Good luck for the rest of the season!

@Holyvision's Guardians of The Vision 0 : 3 Empires Strike Back

Despite the victory, it was a tough game for the elves, as Azteca (a lineman) died and a catcher got a MNG injury. In the first half, @Holyvision's amazons were not aggressive enough towards the ball carrier, even though they could have been, which allowed elves to stall for a lot of turns. Nuffle wasn't kind on @Holyvision as, even though the game should've ended at 1:2 at least, the dice decided that the game ends at 0:3 in the last turn.

Well played, @Holyvision, I wish you more luck for the rest of your division games!

Yea yea, @Azura's High Elves showed up in their 'faaancy' shiny armor and their 'faaancy' hair and their strangely pale makeup just like them High Ears always do. The dodge rolls were rapid like the falling of the rain, and the balls were passed without hesitation for completion chances. An early blunder sadly affected some hormones in some of the other Amazons, who proceeded to focus on the opposing team and not chasing the delaying carrier as aggressively as the team could have; in hindsight trading costly turns for KOs and Injuries on the opposing team. While a lucky high kick at the start went to the ladies favor, an early move on the defense for the Elves would prove costly to start the second half. Also, an 83% chance to accidentally trip on a downed elf should totally be treated as a 100% chance to trip by the refs...

...oh wait did I say on a downed elf? I meant uh.... an elf.

Overall a satisfying game that felt much more exciting than the volatility of the score seems!

    GG,
    --Holy

You can watch the whole game with my muttering here

My High Elf career started against an old-timer, who was sadly put down by awful dice. On both of his offensive drives, kick was deep and he suffered early turnover. At the same time I failed a little.

    > I won the toss, started in defense
    > Kept my end clean by ski-- luck
    > HALF-TIME
    > I scored fast, then kept my end clean (although @CakeOrrDeath had a good effort on getting it tied)

No level ups or injuries on either team. I got 9SPP, Nurgle got 7.

"Oi Benjen, are you happy with your team performance today at your home field?":eek:
    - Boys did well and experienced dog Geralth Tormaen showed great leadership throughout the game by putting himself at danger.
"Any comments on injured lineman? Will he play next week?"
    - *small grin* If he says he cant, I backhand him back to shape. :D

Well that wasn’t really fair. Two brutal teams came up against each other. The Disciples versus Agonising Demise. 5 casualties to none later the Disciples end up winning 1 0. We need some dice even to get the one TD. I’d like to claim it was better positioning/bash play but it wasn’t @GeneralMarauder actually broke armour more than me it’s just I did more injuries. I hope you have better luck for the rest of the season mate.

That's what it looks like with two killer teams and one sided injury dice. Average injury roll of 4,9 vs 8,1 , almost the difference of an extra d6 die roll decided the game. Block/Guard/MB CW will be sorely missed, the rookie goat not so much. Gratz for the win. Saltiness not directed to you, but towards the absurd dice.

Cathay Divisision: Los Planetos (PauNosCornos - Orcs) 2 : 0 Washington Ratskins (Otherguy - Skaven)

Brutal start for my Rats in the new season. Starting the game on offense with a misclick, followed by getting my Rat Ogre Ko'ed on the second turn. PauNosCornos did a good job of removing more of my players from the field. After a few turns I find myself in a tough situation, where I have to make a 3+ dodge roll with reroll with my ballcarrier. After failing the dodge, the Orcs successfully made sure that there is no rat-hand even getting close to the ball. Shortly after an Orc Blitzer picks up the ball and scores to end the half 1:0.
After halftime I find myself on the defense with 6 Rats against 10 Orcs. Los Planetos made short work and ended the game 2 : 0, leaving no chances to the last 3 Rats on the field.
At the end 4 Rats were injured and 2 more died (including one Gutter) in the process. The TV droped to 810, the diceroll for the winnings was a 1, so the next games will be "problematic"

GG to PauNosCornos, who successfully finished his first competition game in bloodbowl ever. I hope you bring the pain to your next oponents aswell! :)

Nuln's first match was a bloody one. @Darth Hidious's necromatic took a battering in this match with the first block killing a guard zombie. A fail pick up however cause a brawl for the ball which ended with a werewolf snatching the ball and dodging away and later a ghoul ended up scoring on turn 8. During this another guard zombie would have died except for his regen roll. In the second half the necros did a slow push to score again but a failed dodge left the ghoul ball carrier exposed resulting in an ogre passing attempt to score but failing. On their last the necros tried a pass to a ghoul on the endzone and failed. Ogre last turn had blocks with the last block of the game being a lone gnoblar blitzing the ghoul on the end zone surfing him and resulting in his death.

    Speaking of bloody ones;

    R.W.B.Y 2 : 3 Moon Shiners

Back in Reikland after an awful season in Altdwarf my first match was against the division favourites, the 2290 TV behemoth that was the Dark Elf team of @DireSickFish .

They bought an extra apo, so I had 480 petty cash to play with, got a wizard, 2 bribes, a babe, and Boomer, with 20 left over.

1st half and my Norse won the toss and chose to receive. We injured 2 elves T1, but flubbed the pick up with Makers Mark, the Str 5 Agi 2 Sure Hands lineman. Elves swarmed the ball and picked it up, so many AGI stat ups on their team compared to STR stat ups on mine. A few turns later, and a few injured elves later, they scored around their T4.
After receiving again we equalised Turn 8, by now though the 13 Dark Elves had been reduced to 2 that could take to the pitch for my kick off. In chat DSF said riot and he would score anyway. Damn me, it was a riot, witch elf made 2 -3d blocks and escaped, runner made 2 GFI's and with pass and accurate launched a bomb which amazingly the witch fumbled on a 2 plus, the RR used earlier. Phew.

2nd half and elves now had 3 (maybe 4) players to receive. Never been in that situation before so early and setting up to kick off was bit tricky to know what to do. Amazingly they did a similar thing to end of the 1st half, but this time it paid off, 2:1 to the elves.

My Norse were a bit annoyed with these long bombs from the Runner, so we killed him. Ouch. That left 2 elves on the field and I quickly scored.

Elves got to receive again with the score 2-2, but all they had left was a Witch Elf, looking a bit lonely on the LOS. Nuffle decided to put the boot in a bit more and I got a blitz. Could not knock down the witch though with no tackle on 6 dice. Ball was caught, witch elf knocked down next turn and completely surrounded and I handed off to Glen Fiddich Jr who ran it in to claim the winner on the last turn.

9 cas'd elves in total, including 2 deaths.

Horrible game for Dire, his TV for the next game has dropped by a round 1000, suffered 4 perms including a -AGI on an AGI 6 witch, and 2 deaths, the 111 SPP runner, and an 88 SPP Blitzer. Hope the rest of the season gets a damn sight better for you, GG.

Would also like to congratulate you for staying cool in the face of such a Nuffling, respect.

First game in Nordland and the undead took on stephb killer orc squad. I was down quite a bit so I grabbed a wizard and an igor. First half the orcs got the ball and the pounding started. Ko on a wight who wouldn't wake up and several zombies went down. I moved everyone out of the way to concede the td but he wanted to half cage and stall. He sent the rest of the orcs to cripple my team and I snuck 2 ghouls out the back and threatened him. He kept stalling so on my turn 7 I dodged both ghouls out and marked the ball with blodgestep diving tackle. Before trying to score turn 8 he took some blocks and injured my block mummy....- str. No regen. I used igor...still no regen. Sigh. He however tried to blitz off the marking specialist and failed. Went for the dodge and diving tackle saved the day. I used tun 8 to try and surf...but rolled a skull with a reroll.

2nd half...ball goes ob...but it won't let me pick a guy and it gives it to a random zombie...arg. also the kick off was a thrown rock that removed another zombie. Now I'm a player down and all kinds of bad things happen. I try a blitz which is a push and he blitzes and kills a lvl 4 ghoul. I try and get something up field to make a pass bit he keeps removing everything. I decide to play for the tie. Way back in my own territory he keeps marking me and I keep failing dodges and blitzes. Finally obit in the corner...fail dodge again to protect and get surfed. Ball goes back to midfield where he picks it up no problem and marches down and scores. Last turn I try a blitz with my wight and fail gfi....bust armor. Typical but at least I make the regen.
Rough first game and I get hudd game 2. At least I'll have lots of inducements.

That is a pretty fair summary, you did well to prevent my score first half, but the constant removals in the second half when already a mummy down was always going to be rough. At least Hudd doesn't out Str you as he has no CW, but he does have claw, GL! :)

Game-of-Thorns get a 3-1 victory over jrpeart's Ogre and Ogre Again. Game really should have been 2-1, or possibly a 2-2 draw, but jrpeart failed a pickup on T16, and I was able to earn 5 extra SPP with a CAS on a Globlar and a meaningless touchdown on my T16. Armor didn't hold up early, with a CAS and a KO on me on the Ogre team's first turn, but it mostly held up after that, so I was able to field 7+ players for most of the match.
