Hurts my soul to write it, but think I can't change it either.

Knowing I was playing against a good friend, I was expecting this match a lot. I started in defense, and nuffle gave me bonus turn and an amazing kick close to the midline on the right-hand side. I blitzed down the only guy on the ball , and marked the ball landing square with three guys. Bounce took it away so that only one was marking it. Amazons didn't fret, but on their first turn they killed my Guard/Block line elf. They secured the ball, but poorly - only one babe between the ball carrier and my guys. I decided to lightning bolt at this moment, it was too juicy chance to steal (any bounce would have kept the ball free to picking up, excluding the only babe protecting). Lightning bolt failed, and my blitz didnt knock down the only babe in front of him, so ball was able to runaway on the next turn.

Amazons caged as now the wizard was gone. @Sataric 's killer blitzer KO'd my +MA line elf, so I was already two pieces down. It wasn't gonna stop here. I didn't achieve much on my turn, I only tried to re-organize defense and hope for one more chance at the ball. Turn 3 for amazons, my Wrestle catcher Geralth Tormaen died - and apo failed so it was meant to be...? :skull::skull: At this point, I gave up the drive. I ran to the side, and let the amazons run it safely. I did follow them a bit, but it only achieved more blood as prior to them scoring - babes gave my star player Eldril badly hurt. On their T8 they scored, my one turn before half-time got nothing worth mentioning. A novelty pass that ended up to be only SPP that I would carry home (dead guy got the MVP).

My 8 against his 11. Still doable with friendly dice. I kept backing off, and stretching amazons thin in the hopes for some "elf bs". There were couple of moments, especially when I KO'd one babe and made the numbers bit friendly. Sadly I just didn't have means to protect the ball. I think it was my T12 when I sent my catcher up ahead to lure some babes, hoping he would stay up. He didn't, took MNG instead. Not too long, and babes surrounded ball carrier but it was alright - I had way to get free and move up the ball with protection - given my three 2+ dodges with three guys would hold. Didn't, ball carrier failed and ball was free and lost. Sataric killed one more line elf at LoS, caught the ball and decided to give it someone else for possible level up? Unsure. Instead of staying at my endzone, brave linewoman decided to take two GFIs: 2+: 1 // RR // 3, 1 - and died. I had my thrower running up the field but I was unable to move it upwards during the last three turns - no re-rolls and my loner failed his catch. Amazons got the ball, and made the numbers 0-2 on their T16.

I don't remember playing such an uphill match on Big Crunch 2. So much went wrong. Seeing so many die, wizard failing the lightning bolt, my star player getting injured first half. No casualties caused, couple of stuns and two KOs. Oh and I got +10K gold too. :D:D Don't know how to fix this team from this state. I have 6 own guys for next game, 1 being MNG. High Elves with 7 guys on roster with 10K in the bank, and I am supposed to rebuild at tier 3. Watching rest of the games this season, don't know how easy that will be...

I am the league president. This is not part of the contract.

    itku-post.png
In my frustration after the game, I accidentally recruited that focking loner, that's why the treasury is thin. I-am-mad-at-myself.jpg

That sounds like a rough break. I'm not sure how realistic it is to rebuild a HElf team, at all, from such a deficit. I think HElf, like DElf, are supposed to have some long term development. So players need to survive, get to level 4+, and you get some amazing players that can carry the team, and at that point it doesn't matter so much if you play with 3-4 Loners occasionally. But it'll be tough for the players on your team to carry anything - I'd focus super heavily on development, pass every turn, and try to survive, perhaps then the team can still live on!

That is a very tough break, up to you if you want to try and rebuild them or maybe start fresh next season.

I have had a terrible start myself in terms of performances with my Kislev, but at least I haven't had too much bad luck with injuries yet (Just a niggle on an unskilled linefrog at the moment)

Certainly would hate to be in your position, if you do keep them going and rebuild you will get lots of respect though!

    These gentlemen said it well.

You've suffered some serious losses, and earning enough money to replace the fallen ones will be tricky, not to mention the SPP that fell away in the process.. However, if you focus very hard on survival and farming SPP, then you have at least 5 more matches of this season to make a potential come-back in time for the next one's start. If the team still looks broken and bruised by the time the S13 Decision Thread comes around, then perhaps re-rolling isn't the worst of ideas, but I sincerely think there is a chance you could recover to an adequate level of strength so that you can compete properly in Tier 3 next season.

Furthermore, I want to apologize once again that this unfortunate outcome had to happen in your match against my sweet and innocent Amazons. Nuffle really had it out for you. I have taken no less than TWELVE deaths (including injuries so bad I had to fire the player) since my team's conception just a few seasons ago myself. This included my best player, Xu the Blitzer, with 63 SPP at the time. I thought about rerolling, as you know. But I was too stubborn, and therefore I managed to recover - Team looks strong now! So it's possible to come back even when things look dreadful, even though it's more difficult with High Elves than with Amazons of course. But I believe in you. I encourage you not to give up!

Two weeks since the massacre. And two very juicy games regarding team developement.

    report2.JPG

I don't know what to say. I guess this is what they call Nuffle extending arm. In both games my opponents faced unfair dice, and I have been blessed to avoid any injuries. These stats are insane.

    Before these two games;
    TD+ was 2 and TD- 5 (TD+- being -3). And now they are 8 and 6 (suddenly +2)

    Before these two games;
casualties were 0 inflicted and 14 suffered. And now? 8 inflicted, 15 suffered.

Will see how long this bubble wrap holds. I know everyone in my division (or in the league) would love to break it.

Even game, and no injuries at all.

Started in offense. Kept ball safe, tried to make through. With somewhat bad turn management + double skulls with a loner, my ball protection was half done - so amazons sacked. I managed to get the ball back with my blitzer, but space started to run short. From here on, we kept pushing each other turn after turn with no clear outcome - until one linewoman failed 3+ dodge. With two successful hits I would be free for 2+ hand-off and two GFIs. And yes, I did score on my T8.

Both had KOs on half-time, everyone got back up. Amazons took fast run forward on my flank, which allowed me to squeeze their push on my T9. We fought there a bit, and after @Nooobody frontline got knocked down and ball carrier marked, he went for a switch to the middle (pretty good and successful). Mistake being, ball was open from front. With one single GFI I had 2D-sack, and got the pow. Another GFI for the pick-up, worked out. From here, I safely ran the ball with my thrower for winning numbers 2-0.

Two levels and +60K for treasury, bought my 2nd catcher.
One lineman is Blodge now. Thinking what should I get with my thrower, who rolled 4+4. So any kind of skill. He has Block, Pass, Nerves of Steel.

Are you planning on 2 throwers. I don't like NoS on an offensive thrower but if he is going to be your ball retriever on D then it makes a bit of sense.
If so then he wants dodge and sure hands. That leaves room for 1 more skill before a long wait which could be guard to make use of the double.
However that build means no accurate so you want a 2nd thrower for a decent passing game.
If you are planning on only 1 thrower then he wants dodge and accurate and I am not sure guard is better than sure hands for the 5th skill.

If he had taken accurate instead of NoS then this would be a great time for strong arm but with this player I think it is a bad idea.

If you took NoS to get dump off later then WHY??? and you don't have room for a double.

Yeah I do plan on two thrower roster, thus NoS pick. I was contemplating on Guard pick now, but wondering if I should just take Dodge to build up the basis. Though every bit of Guard is valuable, especially if I will be promoting to tier 2 by the smallish chance.

I'd take the guard but that means that if your next level up is an 11 or 12 he doesn't get sure hands so NoS isn't going to get used much.

Tough game on paper, and that it was in practice as well. I enjoy rolling dice, so once again (3rd time to this season) I induced a chef.

    (2RR's gained)
I started in defense, hoping I could keep it clean. Start was very promising as on turn 1 I KO'd decent chaos warrior to sleep. NN took it slowly and kept the ball well safe, having somewhat bad dice on the blocks. On my T3 a beast was injured (BH), so I started to get the numbers. Here on I shifted up with ball pressure, and send few guys lurking. On the following turn I saw a 2D sack, if only I get my Guard piece to assist. Happened, and blitzed the ball carrier to the ground but ball bounced to +ST Chaos warrior who caught it. :(:( Then NN went along, and walked slowly forward as I did somewhat hopeless marking and tackling. 2nd effort was 2-red-dice sack but got some skulls.

    (1RR gained)
Halftime and I was two players down. Had no choice but to use speed and spread up both teams across the field - hoping a chance to set-up a score. In few turns I had ball caged few spaces over LoS, right next to the sideline - having one guy running up ahead. Instead of blitzing him, chaos spearheaded into the cage and had one guy marking the ball. I took 2+ dodge, and ran to do 2+hand-over to the thrower (thanks to NoS) - and he ran with dodge and one GFI to pass. My blitzer made 3+ catch and then ran for the TD. Nice moment with my game.

Sadly now I was 3 guys down, so trying to keep chaos for 5 turns was gonna be awful. Had no chance really, very desperate efforts and NN controlled it well. Made the winning numbers 1-2 as I pretty much shaked everytime he blocked. :D Thanks for the beating @notorious noob

One game left and that is @jrpeart and his Ogres. First time facing those in BC2. :)

No level ups, and I got two guys MNGs. Lets hope my loners hold for one week.

Season ends with a tie against @jrpeart ogres. Cheers for the game! I didn't play too well, but losing two players early on made me much more cautious than was the plan.

Not much to say, had a wizard for the defensive first half but even with it I didn't succeed to keep it clean. I did snatch the ball, but I didn't get chance moving before got put down. Ogres managed to score on their T7, I had two turns to build my equator TD, but it failed on the final last space with failed GFI.

Offensive was bit of a struggle, played time and managed to score late to the half. Ogres were given one extra turn for winning TD, but they didn't manage it happening (failed landing on throw-teammate).

No injuries to my own players, but no level ups either. Rookie thrower made three passes, and then my linemen made 7SPP from passing, hitting and scoring. MVP was stolen by greedy loner.

Will see if I promote to T2 or not, depends on the game between @Nooobody and Notorious Noob.

First post up-to-date with team roster.

Roamed at BB2LeagueManager and spotted my seasonal stats.

    toCoach.JPG

I'm somewhat happy with it so far, but I really need a break on that casualty rate. 40 total, net value -20 and all in all it means 2 injuries per game. Doable, but so many of them been dead or career ending perm. :( Maybe next season I will be given slightly easier go. Well I'm joining T2 with the team... will see. :D:rolleyes:

I got three guys close to leveling up, so got some level-ups coming in. But lets be calm and wait what sort of teams I get. Unsure if I go to Reikland or Nordland.

    Caretakers announce their season schedule.

    MD1: K. Rool's Crew (lizardmen) @GobbieMarauder
Season begins with a familiar lizzie team. During his own career, coach Wolfhide met this team twice on the field and even put one saurus to sleep once. "Match-up is favourable start for the rough season ahead of us," said Wolfhide before withdrawing to team stadium.

MD2: Pushing Up Swayzes (undead) @Larkstar
Challenging match against a strongly developed undead team. Big difference in team value calls out for big guns, and best baby maneuvers Caretakers have to offer. Opponent likes to say 'No baby is put to grave', but Caretakers don't do it to begin with - so no issue with opponents rather odd manners and delighths.

    MD3: Game-of-Thorns (wood elves) @Znarx
Last season teams played a battering 1-1 game. Back then wood version of us were capable of dodging away from us nobles. Experienced and widely renown, these wood elves don't fool around. Their strong line of LoS elves is a power to keep in mind.

MD4: On the Howl (necromantic) @Darth Hidious
New team and a coach - this team needs to be fully scouted during the first weeks of the season. Coach Wolfhide knows a thing or two about necro coaches, and that is their eternal lust and obsessive behaviour towards injuries.

MD5: The Great Zardulus (skaven) @YsengrinSC
The greatest rival of Wolfhide's career - these skavens kept coming back for more, and delivered entertaining blood bowl for the stands. Many weeks to go for the match, rats have solid chance to build themselves even scarier or die in the process.

    MD6: Fitlers (chaos dwarves) @BallztotheWalla
This team arrives to Reikland with impressive 14-3-1 history. High elves' natural disdain and grudge towards this race will become the key to fight this power pack.

    MD7: Carnavikings (norse) @Frankolino
This norse team had their run in Altdwarf, and has now arrived to Reikland for fun rebuilding. Coach Wolfhide's lacking experience with norse, making this match a very intriguing one. "Blood will flow, hope not ours."

MD8: Roll Like And Egyptian (khemri) @Deithwen
Leagues most successful khemri team - match that could hurt or become fun elf playground. "We need to pack our oils and bandages, will be used for one of the teams. Stadium gonna be lit," promised Wolfhide.

MD9: Eat Sleep Bash Repeat (dwarves) @Zombane
Season ends with disgust, as Caretakers meet dwarves on the pitch. "We gotta secure the season before this one," team's thrower Ance Doalain figured, "coach must be considering change of play style. Perhaps something ugly, fans will be disappointed."

Division admin @Orielensis has done his best to muster all teams for elf killing. Sadly all of them forgot; it is not about the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog. #deep #ilgoth #imdonzo

    Watch our short game here

Sadly after the halftime, suddenly all the lizzies withdrew to their team quarters and announced to stop playing - a hurricane had stormed their home jungle and they were needed back home! THE DRAMA.
    (Goobie disconnected)

I started in offense, having induced Eldril Sidewinder, wizard, bribe, extra apo and a babe. Plan was to grind two novelty passes, so my blitzer would level up. Succeeded with one fail effort between them. Lizards were being extremely calm, not coming to my side of the pitch and simply allowing me to try breach through. Even though I did try to bait them into marking, I believe it was good for my team health. :D My turn 6 was bad, kind of bottled it with focusing on how to get my two stuns up in needed position next turn. This had me with no scoring threat prior to T7, which I don't fancy. I saw a possibility to make multiples, just had to blitz a skink and make successful hit against saurus. Sadly in this sequence of :skull: // RR // :skull::skull: my offensive was over. Lizards had the chance of taking the ball, but even with RR my catcher remained on his feet - firmly holding the ball as well.

After half-time I was setting up for defense, when disconnection happened. This result remains, as we didn't have schedule chance without extension.

    Our division standings after MD1:
    report2.JPG

"Experts don't believe such a start was possible for our team," Benjen Wolfhide splurted, "but we take it as it comes."
    - Ance Doalain was put down on first half, he gonna be joining roster next week?
"I don't expect any less of him," coach Wolfhide ended.

Blitzer rolled a normal, Mikoukal Brivhedd is now Block/Dodge/Side Step.

Next week @Larkstar and his baby stealing undead.

! Watch the whole game at my Twitch !

Can't be but satisfied with this one. Pre-game feelings were as shaded as undead bed chambers.

I had 360K in inducements. Took wizard, apo and a RR.
I won the coin toss, started in offense.

Game started with undead blitz, and that rendered my plans useless - guys tied up and one line elf got frenzied to the sideline, surrounded by three undead players. I totally bottled here, all in all had no good choices but to try and rebuild the offensive. I noticed that with three players alone on his next turn, he could easily take over in the middle and box me to one sideline. Figured I take 1D blitz here to remedy, but that was :skull:// RR // :skull:. This meant line elf surfed, into MNG. I think also on this same turn, Ance Doalain (thrower) was blitzed into -MA. I used secondary apo, who was kind enough to offer the same. Looking grim, and numbers going down at great speed I knew waiting in my own half of the field wouldn't do. So I took right side flank and tried to get through, but I was very well shutdown and marked there. No choice but to retreat back, luckily here my 2+ kept working. Once more my ball was pressured, but my line elf did well by eating blitz as he was a scoring threat. Now second try, took left side of the pitch with some decent screening. Now my saving grace arrived, and mummy snake eyed a GFI. Here I was running for the touchdown, but failed to keep ball safe from behind. 1D sack happened, but I was able to secure it right after - only to get surrounded. With 2+ dodge and 2D blitz, I got one guy free. So hand-off to him and a touchdown it was.

Kick-off event: I get RR (5 in total for the half)

I believe I had six guys left after the half-time. This wasn't much, but I had wizard standing. Plan was to not used before game is 1-1, kinda figured I need to play for draw all the time. No real defense here, simply trying to limit the amount of blocks taken. It was successful, no issues. @Larkstar didn't waste time but scored quickly, on his T11 I believe. Game was 1-1.

Kick-off event: I get to move all players 1 space
I was still at 6 players agaisnt 11. Undead set-up to cover sidelines, and I basically had two choices for two-turn touchdown: either do it with lightning bolt to open path, or have 1D blitz on blodge ghoul. I decided that I bank all I got on making 2nd touchdown, so lightning bolt struck the ghoul into KO. Now with 2D blitz I opened the path, and had three guys screening as catcher ran for it. Undead had no chance to sack (well without good risks), so they opened path to mark my catcher with two. Managed to fix it by building a chainpush move, then it was only 2+ dodge for touchdown. No RRs wasted. Game was 2-1 for me.

Kick-off event: ball scatters once more
One KO got back, so I was at seven players. Same plan again, first limit the amount of hits. Touchback happened, so Undead was quick to breach my side of the pitch. Lot of GFIs taken here, to maximize movement and blitz deep into my side. I saw a chance here to mark ball carrier with two players while screening right next to him with two more. Took it, so 1D blitz into a zombie protecting the ball and then couple of 2+ dodges to build all the marking. As last move I tried to foretell possible pass play, but that was kind of... reaching for straws... Larkstar did a chainpush play to get ghoul free, and hand-off to another ghoul meant two-turn touchdown. Game was 2-2, and all I wanted to do is to keep it that way.

    Kick-off event: +RR for me.
Ball dropped in the middle of my side. Took it safe, and moved two guys close to cover it and then went for a pick-up. Now tried novelty pass grind, but snake eyed on it. Here undead ran close to the ball, but against my all expectations did not blitz around the ball but at LoS. Might have been my free ticket out of trouble. Larkstar placed two ghouls as scoring threats here. My turn 15, after good thinking I ended up taking the ball to my endzone, and just hope he cant reach it due to my screens. Last turn for them, a ghoul valiantly came in with 5+ dodge and two GFIs to 1D sack. Succeeded, but no movement left to pick it up. The other ghoul was unable to reach the ball, so this meant game would be 2-2. As last action of the game, 3+ foul happened on my blitzer who survived the ordeal.

    bbt2.JPG

Very good game. Harsh, and challenging. Not fully happy with my playing at the beginning. Saddened to see Ance Doalain taking -MA, but I will hold on to him. Regardless of being slower now, I need his skills to make this season into something. But I won't be giving him SPP on purpose from now on. I let his career float, and see where the waves take him. Time for offensive thrower Clemens Boru to take responsibilities more, next week I need him to level up which should be doable. Also one line elf 3SPPs away from leveling up.

1-1-0 season so far, and no deaths. I am enduring! But I still need to raise a deep worry from my heart that my division admin @Orielensis is not delivering the promises:

I find it interesting that the players who played the game, placed bets on draws while others didn't and look at the result.:rolleyes: Larkstar got about 1350points, for me it was around 1900.
