This is my BC2 team. They're currently in Reikland, but demotion is looking pretty likely right now. I'm looking for advice on how to further develop my players, should they survive long enough to level up.

The team has been blessed with agility increases, but I've already had two War Dancers killed and I have a rostered WD with AV6 that needs replacing, but I don't have money to do that yet (90K cash banked).

Arya "Thistle" Stark: War Dancer, AG5
Sansa "Blackberry" Stark: War Dancer, AV6, Strip Ball, Side Step

Catelyn "Rose" Stark: Thrower, Block, Accurate
    Robb "Locust" Stark: Thrower, Block

    Ned "Blackthorn" Stark: Treeman, Grab

Lothar "Hawthorn" Frey: Lineman, Kick, ST4, AG5 (48/51 SPP)
Yara "Raspberry" Greyjoy: Lineman, Dirty Player, Wrestle
    Balon "Barberry" Greyjoy: Lineman, Dodge
Cersei "Agave" Lannister: Lineman, Wrestle, Dodge, AG5 (36/51 SPP)
Tyrion "Holly" Lannister: Lineman, Wrestle, Dodge
Walder "Firethorn" Frey: Lineman, Block, Dodge

My main question is what to do with the AG5 players. Ideally I would be using one of them to pop the ball loose (possibly leaping into a cage if necessary) and use another one to scoop the loose ball (also possibly leaping to get to the ball). Eventually, the ST4 guy is probably the best for leaping into cages, since he may be able to get a 2D block if the opponent doesn't have guard, and may be able to get a 1D block even if the opponent has Guard. So this guy probably eventually wants Leap, Block, and Strip Ball in some order (if he manages to live that long). I'm not sure what to take first. Block now seems nice, since that makes him more reliable blocking high ST players, but doesn't let me take advantage of his agility as much.

If I'm using the ST4 guy to pop the ball loose, then either the AG 5 Dancer or the other AG Lineman should be the player looking to scoop the ball. This probably mean Leap on the Lineman, and possibly Sure Hands on one or both of them to save rerolls if I'm picking up in multiple tackle zones. Sure Hands on a Dancer seems like kind of a waste. And, since the ST3 AG5 Lineman already has Wrestle, it seems natural to give this player Strip Ball and/or Tackle for taking down the ball carrier. Should I get Leap on this player next, or go for Tackle/Strip Ball?

On the AG5 War Dancer, I'm probably getting Strip Ball next (to augment the injured War Dancer), unless I get a special roll.

Finally, I need to figure out what to do with my money. I would like to have at least two Catchers on the team for added speed and scoring threats. I'm planning on saving money until I have about 200K banked before buying a new Catcher, so I can afford to replace a Dancer if one dies or takes a bad injury. Is this a good plan, or should I look to replace the armor-broken War Dancer sooner rather than later?

And of course the ST4 guy promptly rolls 12 on his level up, so I'm faced with the prospect of a Lineman with Kick, AG5, ST5. Guess I should get Block/Wrestle if he manages to get another level up?

    Current roster:

Arya "Thistle" Stark (War Dancer): AG 5, Mighty Blow
Sansa "Blackberry" Stark (War Dancer): Strip Ball, Side Step, AV 6

Bran "Silverthorn" Stark (Thrower): No skills
Rickon "Quince" Stark (Catcher): No skills

Ned "Blackthorn" Stark (Treeman): Grab, MV3

Lothar "Hawthorn" Stark (Lineman): Kick, AG5, ST5
Cersei "Agave" Lannister (Lineman): Wrestle, Dodge, AG5
Yara "Blackberry" Greyjoy (Lineman): Dirty Player, Dodge, Wrestle
Tyrion "Holly" Lannister (Lineman): Wrestle, Dodge
Walter "Firethorn" Frey (Lineman): Block, Dodge, Side Step

So 10 players, 160K in the bank. I will probably buy a Lineman or a Catcher before my next game, depending on the opponent.

Can't believe nobody commented on this so far, but the Red Wedding kicked in pretty hard.

    Sorry about them throwers. :(

Match one: 2-1 loss against Blue Ballz of @notorious noob. I lost the toss, notorious noob elected to kick. I scored a 2-turn touchdown and it was a standard 2-1 grind from there. The only permanent was Lyanna "Barberry" Stark dying, I elected not to use the apothecary since she was already -ST.

Sansa got a vanity pass to level, regular roll I took Kick, since my kicker had just died.

After the previous match, I bought a replacement for the dead thrower. So the roster is the same as last match except for that (and picking up Kick on Sansa).

MD 2 was versus The Real Wyrmwood, coached by @Werebat. I won the toss and elected to receive.

Kickoff event was Perfect Defense. This led to a T2 defensive score. The next kickoff was a Blitz, which also led to a defensive score. I was then able to defend for the rest of the half, so I was going into the second half up 2-0 and receiving the kick.

I had 11 players to start the second half, but was unable to put together much offense. All of my players that I managed to get downfield were blocked down and KO'ed/CAS'ed, or were fouled off the field. I did manage to hang on to the ball long enough so that Wyrmwood was only able to get a T16 touchdown, and so didn't really threaten a tie.

Nice job making me regret not just taking that admin win, Znarx! ;^P

Well played as always; you’re a better coach than I am, which made the kickoff rolls going your way (you forgot to mention the thrown rock hitting my warrior, although that was relatively minor) even more irritating! Oh, and Grashnak causing 2 or 3 turnovers in the first half...

Lost that Leap pestie last night, so now I am down to two rookie pesties who should be handling the ball. They should level quickly but damn, not gonna be an easy season for me from here on out...

S16 match one: dead lino, dead level 3 War Dancer (dead, apo rerolled to dead), AG 5 Catcher got -MA. One Badly Hurt. So no Strip Ball player against the Lizardman team I play next.

Treeman rooted first 3 times he tried to move. The only time he didn't root was T16 after the match was decided.

On the plus side, Halfling Chef only took 1 reroll in each half, so I had reasonable numbers of rerolls. A bunch of fouls also resulted in ejections, which is nice for a change.

Still, I got a 3-0 victory, so it's nice to accumulate points at the beginning of the season.

S16 match 2: dead rerolled into dead, 2 BH, so 5 dead in 9 CAS rolls so far this season.

S16 match 3: 5-1 Victory, but Dead AG 5 move busted catcher, AG busted other catcher (who is going to get retired), and -AV on my ST 4 guy, thankfully turned into BH by the Apothecary. 5 BH, Dead, and 2 perms, so season total in three matches:

    6 dead
    8 BH
    3 permanent injuries

I'll have to check, but after Journeymen are added, I think my TV is somewhere around 1800, which means I will be giving up inducements most matches.

Managed to only suffer 1 BH and 1 MNG , so totals are now:
    6 dead
    9 BH
    3 Permanent
    1 MNG

4 more CAS in a tie game that I deserved to lose, but 3 BH and 1 MNG, and the MNG was on a Journeyman, so I'll have my full 8 man roster for the next match.

    So totals are now:
    6 dead
    12 BH
    3 Permanent
    2 MNG

so only like 1/4 dead now.

Another frustrating game. Blitz! kickoff event, with short kick, so opponent got the ball on the kick. Too many KOs to do anything, was down to something like 2 players in the first half and 3 players in the second half. Plus 1 more dead (rerolled to MNG), and 2 more CAS, so totals:
    7 dead
    14 BH
    3 Permanent
    3 MNG

    Absolutely devastating last game:
2 dead (WD and ST 5 Guard player)
Strength bust (on WD, reduced to BH)
    7 BH rolls.

    So season totals:
    9 dead
    21 BH
    4 permanent
    3 MNG

So 9/37 dead rolls, or about 1/4. Super. And of course, even with 3 Loners, none of the permanent injuries or deaths hit a Loner, so one cost the apothecary and the other two killed good players.
