Hello. In the Official Rules book pg. 106 under Low Cost Linemen it uses a "different" phrase of when calculating the 'current value' (not TV) of any permanently hired linemen pmayers on a team with this special rule the hiring fee for that player is not included. So, in a league setting could an Ogre 7's team buy/hire 8 Gnobs and rely on the TV differences to get 600k+ in inducements to buy mercenaries and such EVERY league game?

Yes, but then you have a team of Strength 1, AV 6+

Even with 2 good star players, Probably going to struggle

But doesn't the new merc rules let you get other players so you can tailor your team to your opponents.
So while not the best idea is isn't a complete disaster.

Though if you are going to do that then take a snot team to get the benefit of the rest of the special rules as well.

7's when you have 10 players to their 7 is better than normal where you have 14 players to their 11.

Whilst the new mercs can be powerful the most TV efficient tend to be pretty specialised. It’s less effective in normal Blood Bowl because of this but in 7s where you see less skills and hardly anyone has rerolls then it would be more powerful and it could be really good if you know what you are doing. However the new merc rules are optional so if a Commissioner decides they don’t want to use them (say because a Snotling team pounded every one) there is no comeback.

Yeah I don't envision alot of leagues using the merc rules so its kind of a moot point.
