So we’re starting a new TT season in the next couple of weeks and I’m taking a new Chaos team. We start with 8 skills. They’ve been rolled as follows;

Beastman: 6+6
Beastman: Normal
Beastman: Double + Double
Warrior: Normal + Normal
Warrior: 6+4
Warrior: Normal

My thinking so far is pretty boring/straight forward;

Beastman: +ST
Beastman: Block
Beastman: Surehands + Dodge
Warrior: Block + Guard
Warrior: Block
Warrior: Block

My doubts are whether to take Claw/MB on the double skill warrior and something funky like DT+Jump up on the Beastman. First two games are new Chorfs and new Nurgle. After that the division is pretty mixed.

Appreciate any thoughts

I don't play Chaos so this may not be optimal. But if I did....I'm assuming a standard 4 warrior, 7 beast, 3 RR build btw.

Beast 6+6: probably plus Str (but not sure that gives a lot of value in a rookie Chaos team). I'd be tempted with Leader on rookie Chaos though...get rid of him once the team is developed.
Beast Normal : Wrestle
Beast Double *2 : Lots of possibilities here. Dodge/ 2 Heads? Leap/ VLL if you are brave/crazy. Wrestle/ Tackle. I'd prob go Dodge 2 Heads and he would be my carrier and get Block asap.
Warrior Normal *2 : MB, Claw
Warrior 6 +4 : Block
Warrior Normal : Block

With 1st 2 games vs Chorfs and Nurgle I would want MB/Claw. I don't see the need for Sure Hands vs those teams as long as it does not rain. Good luck!

Good advise guys. Definately picks I’d thought about too. It’s hard to see past the doubles but Chaos have such good skill access on normals.

I'd go for leap , wrestle on the beastman.
It forces the opponent to play differently as they need to protect against you leaping into the cage.
If you have a reroll available that is a 75% chance of getting a 2D wrestle blitz on the ballcarrier.
I wouldn't be doing it very often but IMO it is worth it just for making your opponent try to defend against it.

That is a very good call. Frees me up to make the other beast my ball carrier and with another skill this specialist could go tackle or VLL and really be a pain

I just can’t see past the +ST on this guy, even though it’s probably less than optimal!

I like the +str BM. Next 3 skills block, frenzy, tackle.
I also like the idea of a leaping BM (slower, hairy WD).

In BC my plan is to give frenzy to 1st BM that gets a +Str and I have a Agi4 BM that I really want to give leap to (I know that is probably crazy talk). But having these 2 on either side ln defense should cause the other coach to think a bit before choosing where to cage up.

That was my thoughts exactly for skill progression on the strength 4 guy.

I think for beasts I’m pretty well decided on;

Beast: +ST
Beast: Block
Beast: Wrestle + Leap
