We're in the same boat I think mate, you go ahead.
I'm in! With Lizardmen! And i agree with the discord group chat
I thought that level 2 means that you can at most get 1 skill per player. As a level 1 player is a rookie with no extra skills, right?
I play in both BBtactics and the ReBBl and am open to any team that would have me. Elfy BS is my bread and butter but I can play a lot of other teams. I'd like to work out with the clan what races they all planned on playing so we could get a good spread of different options. Or go all in on one playstyle.
Noted, put you on my list.
I read the rules the same way. For what its worth I would go with a mix of teams so you can counter whatever opponent has. Also you can only have one of each team.
I'm most comfortable with Nurgle right now @Ilgoth so would like to play them if possible! If you don't think that is best for this format I could go with Necros.
I PMd metal to confirm. And you are allowed only 1 skill up per player. So no MB+ Tackle blitzers on Orcs for example, you have to pick one or the other.
Edit: Nurgle would still be decent in this format. As you can take All 4 CWs, 4 Pestigors, and the BoN with the only worry being team value. You can also take a double for Block on the BoN if you want. And all CWs can start skilled meaning the team will be far more reliable.
Yeah dunno where i got that from...Take my please @DireSickFish .
This is what I was thinking, 4 CW with block, BoN with block, 3 RR and maybe just 2 Pestigors to keep TV down a bit.
Some teams get very interesting with this setup. Khemri can start with 6 MB and +AG on a Throw-Ra making them a lot more dangerous out the gate for not very much TV. And a DP lineman. Big Guys in general become a lot more valuable as you can guarantee your team a Block Big Guy which ups their reliability a LOT. Teams that normally struggle to get all their players at TV1000 can start with a full team.
Khemri become a lot better, almost tier 1, but I wouldn't say they were a powergamers pick still.
I have some interest in this - I like team competitions. I am not very good atm but I am learning and like playing this game. If selected I will play whatever the team captain says I need to play.
If I am in I would play orcs I think. Necro-undead-nurgle could also be an option. I'd choose goblins but it's too silly. Maybe other teams, all in the realm of bash and semi-bash.
For discord it's ok with me but beware of my strong french canadian accent.
Y'all might be able to put two teams together at this rate
@Ilgoth Yes I am still free and yes I am definitely interested. And I already use discord for a lot of rpg’s so that’s no issue.
Race? I’m pretty open on race. I see lizards, orcs, norse and khemri discusses so far. If we want a mutation element I could go chaos or nurgle (probably chaos preferred) or even skaven? If you have a theme in mind or want to go that route, I can play just about anything.
Well, if the second team is short of players, I guess I could sacrifice myself then. I can play anything except Lizardmen or Skaven. If I would have to play a high TV team which is supposed to win every game, I would prefer any Elf team (I'd be most comfortable with Dark or Wood Elves), or Underworld, or Undead, or Kislev/Slann. If I am supposed to play draws (ie focus on not losing) with minimal TV team I think I could do pretty well with a 1000 TV Dwarfs. If I am supposed to play high risk games with low TV (win some, lose some) I'd prefer a 1060 TV Wood Elf team.
Another thorough post from you. What's the gameplan if dragon lands during inducement phase on your front yard?
Marked you on the list.
Minimum TV for a team is 1.2k unless it's a stunty team, they can be 1.1k. You can add 1 skill to your players but need at least 3 unskilled players. You get 3 doubles skills OR a stat up and one doubles skill to create your team with.
Ok, so much better then Shows that I had given the rules just a cursory look.
@Ilgoth I have been thinking about that a few times. The answer depends totally on how big the dragon is, and is it/he/she a fire-breathing sort or something else.
Alright coaches, we've got like 6 days to get this all put together.
Put me down for Chaos if it's not taken by someone else. Back-up choice is Skaven.
Let's kick the tires and light the fires Big Daddy! @Ilgoth
