Yeah. And i'll take Kislev then.
The rules have been changed: no more skill packs.
Tier 1- TV 1220
Tier 2- TV 1240
Tier 3- TV 1270
Whaaat since when? So you take skills up to TV instead? Any restriction on doubles or stats?
Check the same link to the document with the rules. It's been updated.
No restriction to doubles (only the TV limit) but no stat increases.
Seems bad to me...Ladder isn't the best with few pretending for the places.
Only one skill per player, sucks for uwd. Dwarfs look strong in this format and Norse. If I understand the inducement system it's terrible for goblins and flings who have no advantage from the extra TV. Good for ogres though who can start with 6, rrs and some block.
Vamps would suffer to. No Blodge.
Edit: I guess you'd have to go Pro Vamps.
The original plan did restrict each player to 1 skill pick. Changing it from a flat skill package to total TV does seem to benefit teams like Orcs and Dwarves who can get more or less all they really need for the basic 1000 TV, then have 220 left over for skills. Not sure Khemri look as good now, maybe I would take leader on the 2nd Throw Ra instead of Block to free up 70 TV by not having the 3rd RR. Tough decisions...
Yeah, that change certainly benefits the races who come with good skill set already and just need to add a few.
Flings and Goblins surely won't be happy.
I have a feeling there will be more changes, so let's not bet on that posting.
In any case, I had update the race choice as it stands today. So, here is the final version.
@cjblackburn - Ogres
@Street - Goblins
@TravelScrabble - Underworld
@St Cloud - Kislev
@mamutas - Amazons
@Ravers - Khemri
@Jeliel - DElfs or Chorfs
@Regor - Woodies or Lizzies
@Veggente85 - Woodies
Everything looks right? Would @Jeliel and @Regor confirm their race choices?
So, I looked at the rules again. A bit confusing writing. Do I understand right that I can pick all inducements except wizard and mercenaries with added skills? Why not the latter, I wonder?
Also, those titles sound great, but where can I put them? If I remember correctly, custom titles are not supported in game, which is the shame actually.
I am not sure on the race, may switch to Norse. I want to see if the rules stay as they are to be honest. We don't need to confirm anything until the teams are submitted I guess which can't be done until LE is actually released.
A Gobbo or fling team might be able to pull off some nonsense with the inducements (especially if stadium upgrades are allowed). A team with inducements can now pick and choose which ones it wants so they can pick their stars to match their opponents. I might switch to 2 block Ogres but apart from less DT it's not going to effect my team much.
Then again two block mummies and two guard wights looks nice.
Stadium upgrade would be 200K even if it was allowed so can't see that working out too well! Amazons look really strong now as well, you could have 11 blodge players with 4 guard comfortably...
Its based on TV not cash so as stadium upgrades don't add to TV it might not count. I suspect it's an oversight and wont be in place by the tournament but if it is still in place it would be something to consider.
Can we retitle this thread to ferocious min-maxers anonymous please?
Welcome to tournament play,
We got fun and games
We got everything you want honey,
We know the names.
This is exactly what I am thinking. I figure I need to maximize my chances.
You could do this for example. 1220 TV on the money.
4 Blitzers. 3 with Guard, 1 MB
9 Linewomen. 1 with Sure Hands, 1 with Dirty Player. 2 with Tackle. 2 with Wrestle. 3 with Block.
Or you could just have 13 Blodge plus Blitzer skills! I would fancy your chances vs most teams except Dwarves with that
Any fumbbl player know if we can create a competition with this kind of "rules" and had some training games?
Separate names with a comma.
