My team is now up to 14 players.
I assume that unlike normal BB 16 players is the way to go.

    Currently I have
    4 Bobs
    3 Orc blitzers
    2 Bulls
    3 CD's
    1 Ogre
    1 Snot

Player 15 will be another blitzer leaving me space for either a Mino , a CD or a goblin.

    Thoughts.

Currently leaning towards a gobbo as I have found the snot to be very useful but they don't dodge quite as well and don't start with sidestep.

That does sound reasonable. Aiming for 16 doesn't seem mandatory, since that can give your opponent inducements to up his player count with, but long-term it is probably good.

Stand Firm Chaos Dwarf rolls doubles. Is it claw in DB too, or are there better mutations/skills? I suppose dodge could actually be nice for a blodge stand firm git.

So 2nd match into the season and I now have some cash to splash & skill rolls to choose for the Bright Alliance.

    Currently roster:

    3 Human Blitzers
    1 Human Thrower
    3 Human Linemen
    1 Deathroller
2 Dwarf Blockers [both rolled normal skill]
    1 Norse Werewolf

    2 RR, 1 Apo
    140k treasury

    Skills
So should I take SF on both my Blockers? SF seems to be pretty essential from my first few outings in Dungeonbowl. I know Grab and Guard are also good

    Purchases
What should I buy next, a 3rd RR?
And what player purchases should I be looking at after that?
I only have 1 more Norse slot available. I could make cases for another Ulf, a Bezerker or a Yhetee.

I would go for the yhettee but another Ulf would also be good.
Rerolls are only 50K so you want another but I would probably take another player first.

I would probably go Yhettee , Reroll , Human Blitzer , Ogre

Stand Firm is good but you only have 2 players with ST > 3 so I would give one of them guard.

Personally I put stand firm first on the slow blockers, and guard on the faster and comparatively dodgy blitzers (who get stand firm second)

Hmmm, I can see the merits of both those skill options.
I'm thinking perhaps going with SF on both, as they're slow and tough anyway which is perfect for road blocks, while the faster team mates can get (hopefully) the odd guard player in around them.

    Re: recruiting players
I already have a Deathroller, so I can only hire one more ST5+ player, right? So it'll be a choice between the yhetee & an ogre?

Take the Yhetee, then you can have claw MB and it has Wild animal so you dont lose TZ:powdodge:

Actually I took MB second on the first blitzer with guard to skill up (but he hasn't had much use for it)

Second (orc) blitzer hit level 3, rolled 6+4 - does this mean move or stand firm?

I think that the speed is better in DB.

I managed to get a skill on my claw mino and rolled a double, so now he has block:D Looking forward to season III:D

Where would I find a guide for team builds? This is confusing as all heck. Just way too many options

Also, where are the lizards :p

Feel free to create a thread.

Or just build something at random. :D

Just bear in mind that the deathroller is borderline cheating.

    There are 2 basic approaches.

Bash where you want a lot of ST 4 plus. There are lots of narrow corridors so ST4 is better than ST3 plus block.
Skills to take are stand firm , grab and juggernaut.

Agility. Where you want AG4 or stunty. Players can dodge into places so you can surf players.
If you get the ball first you can throw quick passes and outrun your opponents
Skills to take are sidestep , leap and strip ball.

The goblin weapons are also worth considering as they don't get sent off and you can get them back with the magic sponge if they are KO'd or BH

Gimme an hand here @tys123 :D

Going with Golden, what’s a decent starting roster?

Was going with 3rr + apo and a mix of Bobs, blitzers, chorfs a BC and a couple of snots (before adding better pieces).
Mind it, I know the mechanics, played for a bit TT a long time ago!

    Thanks. :D

You want both Bulls , at least 3 bobs and either a troll or an ogre.
Then a mix of blitzers , CD's and snots to get you up to 11 players.
It is far harder to get assists in DB so you want all the strength you can get.

I didn't get the apoth until midway through my 2nd season and rerolls cost 50K all the time rather than doubling up to 100K after your 1st match.
I think I only went for 1 reroll to start.
Don't reroll failed blocks unless it is really crutial. Instead use the reroll for any precarious position roll you might have to make.

Ideally you want to pick the ball up with either a blitzer or a bull.
Against other bash teams the snot is also a good ballcarrier but obviously he is a bad idea against wardancers.

I'm gonna go with the Dark Wizards.

I've got Witch, 3 DE Blitzers, 2 Wights, 1 Mummy, 2 Skeletons, 1 Zombie. I am debating between 2nd Mummy, 2nd Witch, 4th DE Blitzer, or a DE Lineman + 2nd RR or 12th man.
